Martin Clunes and James Buckley team up for new British comedy-drama Mother’s Pride
As a seasoned viewer of British television and cinema, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming comedy-drama “Mother’s Pride.” The star-studded cast, including Martin Clunes, James Buckley, and a host of other talented actors, promises an unforgettable viewing experience.
Martin Clunes and James Buckley are set to appear in a new comedy-drama.
The production team behind Fisherman’s Friends and Finding Your Feet has completed filming for Mother’s Pride in Somerset and Wiltshire.
The movie narrates the tale of a struggling tavern, a fragmented society, and a bereaved family whose lives undergo transformation as they start crafting authentic beer and participate in the prestigious Great British Beer Competition.
In addition to Martin Clunes from Doc Martin and James Buckley known for The Inbetweeners, the cast of Mother’s Pride includes Jonno Davies from Better Man, Gabriella Wilde who played in Poldark, Mark Addy famous for Game of Thrones, and Lana Moorcroft, star of Fisherman’s Friends: One and All.
The star-studded cast also includes Lockwood & Co‘s Luke Treadaway, The Full Monty star Miles Jupp, Starstruck‘s Lola-Rose Maxwell, A Clever Woman‘s Josie Lawrence, Spent actor Karl Collins, Trigger Point‘s Stephen Leask, and Code 404 star Emily Lloyd-Saini.
Nick Moorcroft, the director of “Fisherman’s Friends: One and All,” collaborated on the script with Meg Leonard from the movie “Fisherman’s Friends.
The movie titled “Mother’s Pride” is expected to hit theaters through Entertainment Film Distributors, though the exact release date remains unknown at this time.
Actor James Buckley, best known for his role as Jay Cartwright in the popular sitcom “The Inbetweeners,” has recently been seen sharing screen time with Neil Morrissey in the suspenseful drama “Finders Keepers.
A team comprised of a father and his future son-in-law engaged in metal detection uncovered an ancient Saxon hoard. They opted against informing the authorities, which sparked a series of disastrous consequences.
Actor Sam Clunes, known for his role in “Manhunt,” is also set to feature in a six-part ITV/ITVX miniseries titled “Out There.” Joining him will be Louis Ashbourne Serkis, Mark Lewis Jones, and Natalia Kostrzewa.
It will tell the story of “a farmer confronted with dark forces seeping into his rural community”.
