The Crown star’s new Welsh crime drama gets first look

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for binge-watching gripping dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement for Erin Richards’ latest venture, “Ar y Ffin” (or, “On the Edge”). Having been enthralled by her performance as Barbara Kean in “Gotham” and Dodi Fayed’s ex-girlfriend Kelly Fisher in “The Crown”, I am eager to witness her portray a court magistrate grappling with an ethical crisis.

Actress Erin Richards, best known for her role in “The Crown,” has unveiled the initial photos from her upcoming crime drama titled “Ar y Ffin” or “On the Edge.

In a rephrased form, Richard plays the role of a magistrate in Alibi and S4C’s Welsh-language drama. His unwavering loyalty towards justice is challenged when a friend of his becomes embroiled in a criminal investigation.

Previously known for her roles on “EastEnders” and “Holby City”, Hannah Daniel, in conjunction with actual magistrate Georgia Lee, has penned a six-episode series.

The story unfolds around magistrate Claire Lewis Jones, who encounters a moral dilemma when her daughter Beca’s old friend, Ned Humphries, gets apprehended on charges of arson.

As I sit down for another round in the virtual world, I can’t help but feel a chill run down my spine as old memories resurface. The notorious gangster, Saint Pete, makes his reappearance on the gaming grid – a man I’ve encountered before. Downton Abbey’s Tom Cullen, they say, but to me, he’s more than just an actor. He’s a piece of my past that’s about to challenge my connection to this game and reality.

The television series Ar y Ffin, set to air on S4C in Wales this December, and then rebrand as Mudtown on Alibi next spring, boasts a talented ensemble cast. Leading the way is Lauren Morais (known for her role in The Red King) as Beca Lewis Jones, Claire’s daughter. Additionally, Matthew Gravelle (familiar from Broadchurch), Lloyd Meredith (recognized in Gran Turismo), and Kimberley Nixon (remembered for her role in Partygate) are also part of the supporting cast.

I believe that spectators will appreciate viewing Newport on screen – it truly has a cinematic charm. Our tale offers an authentic and modern take on the genre.

Hannah Daniel and Georgia Lee have brought to life some captivating characters, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet them as our story progresses.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t forget the captivating performance of Erin Richards in the role of Barbara Kean, which made her a household name in the prequel series to Batman, aptly titled Gotham. Moreover, she left an indelible impression on Netflix’s The Crown, where she portrayed Kelly Fisher, Dodi Fayed’s former girlfriend, in seasons five and six.
