As a fan who has followed both Will Mellor and Ralf Little’s careers for years, this upcoming reality TV show feels like a dream come true! Their friendship spanning over two decades is something that not only entertains us on screen but also provides a unique dynamic off it.
Mellor discusses his 20-year long friendship with ex-co-star Ralf Little, as they set off on a fresh journey together.
Actor Mellor, recognized for his performances in Hollyoaks and EastEnders, along with Little, are set to appear on the reality TV program titled Will & Ralf Learn a Lesson or Two. In this show, they will embark on various journeys across the UK, exploring new adventures together.
Mellor explained to RadioTimes.com that they aimed to find situations outside of their comfort zones to discover what kind of people they would become.
“Me and him [Little] have known each other for a long time, so it meant we didn’t have to fake a friendship.”
Mellor pondered over his connection with Little, pointing out that their friendship thrives so well because each of them brings their own distinct qualities to the relationship.
He pointed out that he is more open than him, which is why he believes their friendship thrives. Similarly, the success of their podcast, “Two Pints with Will and Ralf,” stems from the fact that they are distinct individuals. He hopes this difference will make their show appealing to listeners.
Mellor went on to say, “Ralf rarely shares his past, feelings, or personal experiences; it seems like he keeps a barrier, but I had hoped he might lower it. I was truly pleased when he decided to share more about himself.
It seems to me that he harbors some apprehension about revealing too much, as many of us do, perhaps fearing the consequences. However, I discovered more about him, and it explains his particular behavior, for now I understand what he has experienced in life.
Each person has a history, yet not everyone is comfortable sharing it. This program, though, seems to offer a platform for such discussions, and I believe it does so effectively.
In this upcoming show, a pair of close friends will embark on a journey together, exploring an eco-friendly community in Wales. They’ll also share the stage with the Dreamboys and attempt some traditional strongman challenges.
