As a compassionate observer, I find it heartening to witness Chloe Madeley’s courage in sharing her personal struggles with situational depression following her separation from her partner. Her candidness about her experiences serves as a reminder that even those who appear strong and composed on the outside can be dealing with profound emotional turmoil beneath the surface.

James Haskell admitted that he wound up in the hospital due to a torn bicep, following an attempt to flip his friend Mike Tindall upside-down for fun.

Previously known rugby union player, aged 39, ignited worry within fans on a Wednesday when he posted a series of videos showing him lying in a hospital bed with his arm bandaged and supported by a sling.

The athlete suffered his injury after he and Mike, 45, attempted their own version of a social media clip where a man spun his girlfriend upside down and then back up.

Watching the video together, James said: ‘Speed is the key.’

After multiple attempts, they struggled to fully grasp executing the move on their own.

James was able to turn Mike upside down but couldn’t get him back up.

A hilarious clip of the pair was shared on their podcast Instagram account for The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

In my perspective, numerous admirers have expressed their thoughts about the shared video, remarking: ‘Today, this takes the cake on the internet!’… ‘Mike exhibits remarkable courage!’… ‘These guys are nearly at an Olympic level.’

On Wednesday, James updated his Instagram followers by posting that he is currently well after his surgery and is alive.

The sportsman looked in high spirits as he wore a hospital gown.

He titled his post: ‘I didn’t expect to be here this week, but I’m still kicking! The operation turned out fine. It sounds like rehabilitation is on the agenda. I’ve got quite a bit of knowledge on that topic. Here we go, on to the next chapter!’

One fan wrote: ‘Get well soon!’; ‘Rest up dude’; ‘Noooo darling!!!’; ‘Speedy Recovery xx’

Following the announcement of their separation in October 2023, after a decade as a couple and five years of marriage, James and Chloe Madeley, both aged 36, parted ways.

Chloe confessed that she and her partner, who have a 21-month-old daughter named Bodhi together, ended their relationship because they both felt it was becoming unpleasant and unhappy.

She shared with OK! Magazine that she won’t delve deeply into the reasons behind our split since it wouldn’t be fair to anyone involved, and I wouldn’t wish that for him either. However, I can tell you it was incredibly tough.

‘One of the main motives for us ending things was to put an end to the misery, so why prolong the agony by taking it into a break-up?’ or ‘We chose to end our relationship because we wanted to escape the unpleasantness; thus, continuing this negativity during a break-up doesn’t make sense.’

Initially, it proved challenging, but as with all aspects of life, dedication and consistent effort are key. We’ve certainly put in the work to make progress.

After her parents’ separation, the daughter of Richard and Judy, TV celebrities, found herself dealing with a form of depression triggered by the circumstances, which left her unable to respond to messages from friends or take care of herself.

She added: ‘I’ve actually never had depression before obviously it was very circumstantial so I didn’t realise when people say “I can’t” do something, you really just can’t.’

In simpler terms, they invited me for a meal, yet I couldn’t attend, not even managing to respond to emails. Apart from looking after my pet, Bodhi, I wasn’t prioritizing much personal care.

After Chloe discussed her family’s reality show “Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair,” it was aired, providing a glimpse into their family home just prior to their separation.

During her appearance on Loose Women, she mentioned: ‘There were a lot of things happening off-camera that weren’t shown, but it’s fascinating to see how many viewers caught onto those subtle hints.’

‘We thought we had done a good job but obviously not.’

Pondering over their time apart, she noted: ‘It seems like foundations like love and respect are crucial for keeping a relationship strong.’

As the foundation of our relationship eroded over time, eventually it crumbled beyond repair. Now, with the passage of time and distance, we find ourselves navigating our lives more harmoniously apart in a non-romantic sense.

‘Ever since our separation, our bond has evolved into a deeply respectful friendship, where our affection for one another remains strong.’

One challenging aspect for us was his frequent absence due to DJing nearly every night of the week, but currently, this arrangement suits us well because it provides me with personal time, followed by his return to spend time with our dog, Bodhi.

I’ve never been as content as I am right now, and the same goes for him. There were truly challenging times where it felt like a struggle just to get up in the morning, but after setting boundaries, I found my footing again.

‘I want James to be happy, I want Bodhi to be happy and I want to be happy.’
