As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for resilience and artistic growth, I am absolutely captivated by Angelina Jolie’s journey towards embracing her vocal talents in her upcoming movie, Maria. Her transformation from a fearful singer silenced by an unkind ex to a woman daring to take on the grandeur of opera is truly inspiring.

Angelina Jolie was seen in a new image for her movie Maria.

The 49-year-old star wore her hair dark and up in a fancy hairstyle as she modeled a red dress.

She was seen speaking with the director of her film.

The picture was unveiled at the same time the schedule for the eagerly awaited film was announced. It hits theatres in November before moving to Netflix in December.

Earlier this month, Jolie admitted to having a passion for singing, but she halted her performances after a former partner harshly criticized her vocal abilities. Unfortunately, she didn’t disclose the identity of this unkind individual.

Previously wed to Johnny Lee Miller, Billy Bob Thornton, and Brad Pitt, the actress acknowledged that portraying opera singer Maria proved difficult due to her apprehensions regarding exposing her singing voice in a public setting.

She told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘It was an out-of-body experience because I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing.

Even though I’ve attended theater school, it felt strange that it still impacted me. Somehow, I found myself aligning with this person’s perspective. It wasn’t until I overcame various obstacles that I began to sing again.

Last week, she shared with IndieWire that she wasn’t particularly acquainted with opera music prior to filming Maria.

The actress who won an Oscar admitted that she was brought up in the U.S., explaining that while people in other nations grasp its significance and importance, it plays a larger role in their culture, it wasn’t as prominent during her upbringing, specifically in Los Angeles.

I met Maria before, yet discovering this new art of opera with her turned out to be a life-changing experience, guiding me through various operatic pieces.

As an avid movie enthusiast, I eagerly wish for everyone, regardless of their connection to the movie, to embark on a journey of exploration. I encourage them to immerse themselves in its depths, experience its emotions, and if they feel compelled, express those feelings through song. If I can do it, so can you.

Angelina recently revealed that she spent ‘months’ preparing to sing in Maria.

At the Telluride Film Festival, the actress shared that she underwent seven months of intensive opera training, with exceptional instructors, Italian lessons, and a cooperative team that would assist her.

As a youngster, I found myself drawn to specific melodies and tones that mirrored my emotions – the fluttering beats echoed my heart racing as I fell head over heels, the mysterious undertones piqued my curiosity in times of wonder, and so on, capturing the essence of whatever I was experiencing.

‘There is nothing that meets what you’re feeling like opera,’ added the movie star.

‘[Some pieces] are so beautiful, so full of hope and so full of yearning.

‘Opera is bigger. It is bigger than we allow ourselves to feel in every moment.’

Angelina, mother of Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad, recently expressed gratitude towards her sons for alleviating her apprehensions about singing in the movie.

Speaking at a press conference for the movie at the Venice Film Festival, she said: ‘I was terribly nervous; I spent almost seven months training.

‘My first time singing, I remember being so nervous. My sons were there and they helped to block the door [so] that nobody else was coming in, and I was shaky.

In a gracious move, director Pablo Larraín initiated my journey in a modest setting before leading me to the grandeur of La Scala. This allowed me ample time to mature and develop, and I found myself daunted by the shadow of Callas.

In a playful manner, Angelina suggested that following the film’s completion, she might just find herself attending karaoke sessions in the time to come.

She was asked about her favorite karaoke song, and she replied, “Since I hadn’t sung before this film, I’ve never done karaoke. But now, after this experience, I might have a few songs to sing!
