Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew’s new show lands premiere date
As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, I can confidently say that Sarah Drew’s new venture into the realm of “Mistletoe Murders” is a thrilling twist in her illustrious career.
Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew’s new show Mistletoe Murders has landed a release date.
In the upcoming series, the actress famed for portraying April Kepner on the popular medical show assumes the role of a small-town shopkeeper celebrating holidays, who also enjoys solving mysteries during her leisure hours.
The six-part series is set to debut on Thursday, October 31st, exclusively on the US streaming platform Hallmark+. At this point, a UK release date remains undisclosed (as reported by Deadline).
The storyline of “Mistletoe Murders,” similar to the Audible series, revolves around Emily Lane, a character with an upbeat disposition, sharp wit, clever mind, and keen observational skills.
In the charming town of Fletcher’s Grove, she finds herself intrigued and compelled to delve into the mysterious and less-than-charming local homicides.
Detective Sam Wilner, a shrewd officer in our community played by Peter Mooney, finds himself questioning whether Emily might have hidden depths beyond her initial appearance, as he harbors feelings for her that she has not entirely dismissed.
In addition to me, the fantastic cast includes Sierra Marilyn Riley, Jean Yoon, Lara Amersey, Kylee Evans, and David Hewlett. Notably, we’ll also have Tom Cavanagh, Jake Epstein, and Steven Lund gracing our screens as guest stars!
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my thrill as we venture into the enchanting realm of Christmas Noir, offering Hallmark’s cherished audience of cozy mystery enthusiasts an unprecedented holiday murder mystery experience for the first time. This exhilarating announcement comes from none other than Kelly Garrett, the visionary vice president of development at Hallmark Media.
This intricately woven narrative, inspired by Ken Cupurus’ popular Audible Original series, promises to delve further into the personalities of our main characters while offering fresh, exciting surprises for viewers.
Drew started appearing on “Grey’s Anatomy” as April Kepner in the sixth season, and then departed from the series by the conclusion of season 14.
She’s back at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for brief stints, resuming her character of Kepner in seasons 17 and 18.
In the past, Drew has worked on several Hallmark productions. Some of his previous roles include leading parts in heartwarming movies such as “One Summer,” “Guiding Emily,” and the popular holiday film “Christmas in Vienna.
The Mistletoe Murders is set to debut on October 31st on Hallmark+.
