Nicole Kidman reveals her ‘heart is broken’ by her mother’s death

Nicole Kidman has shared the sad news that her mother Janelle has died.
Nicole Kidman received the Best Actress accolade for her performance in “Babygirl” at the Venice Film Festival on September 7th, but unfortunately couldn’t accept the award in person as she had to depart from the festival prematurely following her mother’s demise.
Director Halina Reijn accepted the award on behalf of Nicole Kidman, who expressed her sentiments through a statement that said: “Upon arriving in Venice today, I learned that my courageous and stunning mother, Janelle Anne Kidman, had sadly passed away.
The statement continued: “I’m in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her.
As a devoted admirer, let me express how profoundly she sculpted, directed, and breathed life into me. I’m profoundly thankful for the privilege to share her name with all of you, through the medium of Halina. The intertwining of existence and creativity is heartrendingly poignant. My heart aches deeply.
In a different phrasing, the movie titled “Babygirl” features Nicole Kidman portraying a powerful CEO. She puts both her career and family at stake as she becomes romantically involved with a younger intern, played by Harris Dickinson, who is known for his role in “The Iron Claw.
Although the Venice Film Festival warmly embraced it, Kidman harbored some complex emotions during the screening.
She expressed at a press gathering that it makes her feel extremely vulnerable and scared, as if her actions are out in the open for everyone to see.
“But making it with these people here, it was delicate and intimate and very, very deep.
Currently, there’s a hint of apprehension in the air – it’s as if I’m secretly checking if my hands aren’t trembling. Yet, despite this unease, I feel an immense sense of pride to be part of such a remarkable festival, and to be contributing to films that are still being created. What makes it even more special is the significant role women are playing in the direction of these projects.
In another production, Nicole Kidman is presently featured in Netflix’s latest whodunit titled “The Perfect Couple“, where a wealthy family finds themselves under scrutiny after a corpse is found close to their residence.
