Netflix’s Kaos creator offers season 2 update

As a fan, I am absolutely thrilled by the prospect of a second season for Kaos! The show is a modern retelling of Greek mythology that has captured my imagination and left me craving more. Charlie Covell’s vision is not only relevant but also deeply human, reflecting various moments in human history.

Creator Charlie Covell hints at the potential for a second season, sharing that they’ve accumulated “lots of ideas.”

The television series, featuring numerous other Greek deities, has garnered praise from both critics and viewers so far. Now, the creators have shared their ideas for a possible sequel

“They expressed in Cosmopolitan UK, ‘I believe there’s no limit to what can be achieved.’ Initially, my goal was set for three seasons. I have numerous concepts and a firm vision of how I’d develop it further. There’s certainly more to explore. Additionally, I aimed to avoid an ending that would leave things unresolved.”

I’m quite content if it stands well alone as our first season, and there’s always the possibility for more. Frankly, I can’t wait to explore further opportunities with this talented cast and crew. Working together was a delightful realization of a long-held aspiration

Covell, the mind behind “The End of the F***ing World,” delved deeper into his upcoming project, “Kaos.” He shared insights about its origins, saying, “As a kid, I was completely captivated by the original ‘Clash of the Titans’ movie. I couldn’t get enough of it; I would watch it multiple times a week, sometimes even daily.”

“I received a children’s book about Greek mythology, which I found fascinating. As I grew up, I developed an interest in modern retellings of these myths, such as Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Penelopiad’ and Carol Ann Duffy’s ‘The World’s Wife’.”

Fundamentally, I aimed to craft a tale that explored themes of power, love, and uprising. This narrative would bridge the gap between divine beings and humans, with Zeus’s fall as the central axis… The fascinating aspect about myths lies in their timelessness; they remain relevant because they delve so profoundly into human experiences

“Regardless of when you stop time, legends remain applicable, as they revolve around themes like power, mortality, misuse of authority, suppressed populations, troubled households, and various expressions of affection.”
