The Rings of Power isn’t the only new series to stream this week! Here’s what else to watch Aug. 26-30

As a dedicated TV enthusiast with over two decades of binge-watching under my belt, let me say that this week is shaping up to be a veritable feast for our collective eyes! August has been a bit of a drought, but it seems like it’s saving the best for last. The upcoming trio of shows has had us on the edge of our seats in anticipation.

Have you already cleared your week? If not, you need to as there are so many new shows on the way this week! From a Lord of the Rings favorite to the return of a murder mystery comedy, here are three shows not to miss this week.

It seems that August has been quite uneventful for television enthusiasts like us, as it’s only offered a few new programs in comparison to other months. However, it appears that August is planning to make up for lost time, with three highly anticipated shows set to premiere this week!

Tomorrow, August 27th, I can hardly contain my excitement as we dive into the season 4 premiere of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” featuring Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. Meanwhile, August 29th promises not one but two enticing offerings: season 2 of “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” on Prime Video, and the animated series “Terminator: Zero” over on Netflix. Among these three captivating choices, which one has you most eagerly awaiting? Here’s a sneak peek at our top pick!

  • Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu, Aug. 27
  • Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, Prime Video, Aug. 29
  • Terminator: Zero season 1, Netflix, Aug. 29

In Season 4 of the mystery-comedy, our beloved detective duo Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short will continue their thrilling escapades, solving mysteries left and right! One aspect that sets this series apart is its impressive guest stars and unexpected appearances. And don’t worry, Season 4 keeps up with the tradition. Just a heads-up: if you haven’t watched Only Murders in the Building yet, it might seem like a lighthearted family show, but it carries a TV-MA rating. Learn more about that here.

Also streaming this week, we have…

  • Bad Monkey season 1 episode 4, “Nothing’s Wrong With It, I Just Don’t Need It Anymore,” Aug. 28 on Apple TV+
  • Bel-Air season 3, episode 5, Aug. 29 on Peacock
  • Reasonable Doubt season 2, episode 3, Aug. 29 on Hulu

If you haven’t been watching these three shows, don’t worry too much as you’re not too far behind, but we advise catching up on them before you miss additional episodes! A fresh, intriguing series called “Bad Monkey” is worth checking out, blending elements of comedy and mystery. It might take a while to get going, but by episode 3, it becomes quite captivating. If you’re looking for a new show to enjoy, consider giving “Bad Monkey” a try!
