As a seasoned observer of human drama and a fervent advocate for victims’ rights, I find myself both intrigued and saddened by the Chloe Ayling case. Having delved into numerous tales of resilience and survival, I must admit that this story leaves me with a peculiar mixture of emotions.

On the popular talk show “This Morning” on Wednesday, Chloe Ayling and her doppelganger actress Nadia Parkes, who portrays her in the BBC drama “Kidnapped,” shared insights about their collaboration for the first time as a duo.

In 2017, the model was enticed to go to Italy for a photo session by brothers Lukasz and Michal Herba from Poland, under the pretense of modeling opportunities. However, upon arrival, they were drugged and abducted instead.

Following her administration of horse sedative ketamine and confinement within a Milan photography studio’s case, she was transported to a farmhouse close to Turin where she was informed that she would be offered for sale as a sex worker in an internet bidding event.

The harrowing account of her ordeal is portrayed in the television show, detailing her terrifying abduction, courage during captivity, and the trial that imprisoned her kidnappers.

On the ITV breakfast show, Chloe and her 28-year-old friend Nadia had a chat before the series began, sharing insights about their time spent together to help Nadia understand Chloe better.

Rylan asked: ‘In situations where the story isn’t cheerful at all but is a true account of someone’s life, did you find yourself under any kind of stress because of that?’

“Very much so,” replied the actress, “It felt like quite a significant duty to portray the story accurately and do justice to the character of Chloe.”

As you mentioned, much of what is portrayed in the drama is rooted in real-life occurrences. Delving into the emotional depths and mental states that Chloe may have experienced during those events was quite challenging.

However, fortunately for me, someone managed to call out “cut,” and unfortunately, it seemed like Chloe remained trapped within her terrifying dream.

Nadia strongly stressed that it mattered greatly to her to narrate the story truthfully and authentically.

Directly addressing Chloe, she expressed: ‘On several occasions, I’ve had the fortunate opportunity to interact with you and inquire about your experiences.’

Apart from discussing the events, it’s important for me to learn about your music preferences too. Understanding Chloe goes beyond her actions; I want to capture her voice, her unique mannerisms, her walk, and more.

Chloe disclosed that preparations for the series initiated in the year 2020, detailing her experience of having intimate discussions with the writer and Nadia prior to filming, allowing them to grasp her traits, character, and behavioral patterns.

‘And that’s also an important part because it’s part of why I wasn’t believed.’

Even though her kidnappers were imprisoned for sixteen years, Chloe has shared that she continues to face online harassment, seven years after the event took place.

In her reflections on those interviews, she mentioned that since many people criticized her for not crying, she explained, “I was operating in a protective stance.”

I was simply providing accurate details about the events, and it seemed people weren’t fond of my straightforward approach.

After her appearance on the ITV morning program, the ex-glamour model was again targeted by cruel online commentators who wrote derogatory remarks towards her.

“I’ve been chatting with Chloe for far too long. Let’s move on from the rumors now, shall we? On to the next topic! #ThisMorning”

I believe it’s doubtful that the story about Chloe Ayling is exactly as it was claimed, according to most people. #thismorning

‘The reason why people didn’t believe it is due to her behaviour afterwards #ThisMorning’

‘Was that interview supposed to make people believe her, because if so it didn’t work #thismorning’

‘That hasn’t changed my mind about anything #ThisMorning’

She seemed more interested in seeking glamorous opportunities rather than a victim recounting her kidnapping ordeal. Her behavior was quite unusual, as suggested on ‘This Morning’.

It comes just after Chloe bravely spoke about the ordeal on BBC Breakfast.

She said: ‘I want it to be understood. All I wanted at the time was for the facts to be laid out and for people to understand the case. What happened in court and the evidence against him.

Reflecting on my personal journey, I feel that in the past, important facts about certain situations were not always brought to light at the time they occurred. Instead, the focus was often solely on me, which wasn’t what I desired. What I truly wanted was for everyone to have access to the facts, as I believe that knowledge can be gained and shared through a well-crafted narrative. That’s why I am confident that this drama will not only entertain but also enlighten its audience by presenting the facts in a compelling way.

When questioned regarding allegations that she fabricated the story, Chloe responded by saying: “Many people fail to grasp it. When I read comments, they lack knowledge of the facts and often spread untruths.”

As someone who has spent years immersed in the world of news and media, I can confidently say that ‘This drama sheds light on aspects of events that were hidden from public knowledge at the time due to manipulation by the media.’ It is a stark reminder of how easily we can be misled and how important it is to question what we are told. As someone who has been deceived by the media before, I know all too well the feeling of being in the dark about significant events that shape our world. This drama serves as a cautionary tale, urging us to dig deeper, seek out alternative perspectives, and demand transparency from those in power.

Ideally, they will gain additional insights about the subject matter from the program. This way, future victims won’t be misguided by the media, preventing them from rushing to judgments unjustly. It’s essential to avoid such hasty conclusions as it isn’t fair on those who might be affected in the future.

As a London-rooted lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself embodying the character of Chloe, a woman with an intriguing background. Born to a creative fusion of Scottish and Italian heritage, my mother was the guiding force in my life. My elder sister, Michaella Parkes, aged 31, is a talented writer and continues to inspire me daily.

I hail from Leamington Spa, where I spent my formative years. Later, I moved on to The King’s High School for Girls in Warwick for my education. Subsequently, I embarked on a journey at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA), where I honed my craft as an actress.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I found my career-defining moment when I stepped into the role of Rosa de Vargas in STARZ’s captivating historical drama, The Spanish Princess. Remarkably, this breakthrough happened before I had even completed my training at LAMDA.

The Chloe Ayling story will launch on Wednesday on BBC Three at 9pm
