Has Miss Audrey been poisoned by the black gas in Snowpiercer?

As a long-time fan of the gripping sci-fi thriller “Snowpiercer,” I must say that the latest turn of events has me both enthralled and apprehensive. The arrival of Miss Audrey in New Eden, battered and possibly on her last breaths, left me reeling. It’s a stark reminder of the harsh realities that our heroes face in their unyielding quest for survival.

In the opening episode of Snowpiercer’s fourth season, Miss Audrey arrived in a supply cart at New Eden, causing concern about potential hardships or cruel treatments during the nine months of its establishment. However, upon further investigation, it was revealed that what transpired wasn’t actually torture but rather something else entirely.

At first, there was concern that Milius and his group, Animal Squad, had seized control of the train and were mistreating passengers. There was suspicion that they were working under Wilford’s orders. However, this wasn’t true. Instead, Snowpiercer is being tasked with a unique assignment aimed at restoring the planet to a livable state.

Nine months down the line, things aren’t unfolding as anticipated. It turns out that Till, Ben, and Miss Audrey were tasked with transporting the supply cart to New Eden for a warning. Unfortunately, their mission didn’t go smoothly, and now it appears that Miss Audrey has reached New Eden but bears some severe injuries on her face, suggesting she may be gravely ill.

What is in the black gas in Snowpiercer?

While Miss Audrey struggled against a member of the Animal Squad, there appeared to be damage to their protective gear, releasing a plume of black gas. In fact, we’d seen this same ominous black gas during the previous part of the episode.

As a devoted fan, I find myself puzzled about this scene. It appears Miss Audrey has been somehow tainted, and it’s strange because only Milius removed his helmet while aboard the train. This could imply that the others were supposed to hide their identities, but that doesn’t align with the fact that the Animal Squad was there to seek Melanie’s aid. But then again, plot twists can be unpredictable!

Could it be that they are unable to remove their masks? Perhaps there’s an issue with them breathing regular air, and it seems like Audrey might require the black gas for her survival now.

As a gamer immersed in the world of Animal Squad, I’ve come to suspect that during their underground operations, they might have been conducting experiments. Their mission, as we know, was to restore balance on Earth. However, it seems there was an additional task: preparing humans for survival in harsh, frozen conditions. Unfortunately, something went awry with these experiments, and now they find themselves dependent on this mysterious black gas just to stay alive.

In the light of suspicion that Miss Audrey might have been poisoned, could this symptom hint at her transformation into something resembling the Animal Squad? Is it possible that she would choose such a life on the Snowpiercer?
