Giovanni Pernice appears to take a swipe at Amanda Abbington after she claimed he was 'cruel and mean' on Strictly Come Dancing

As a dedicated fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I have watched with bated breath as the recent allegations against professional dancer Giovanni Pernice have unfurled. The news that Amanda Abbington, one of his former celebrity partners, had left the show due to PTSD and accusations of abusive behavior from Giovanni was shocking and disheartening.

According to reports, Giovanni Pernice was overheard calling Amanda Abbinson a “crazy woman” in response to her accusations that he was unkind and rude during their time on Strictly Come Dancing.

Last year, Amanda chose to leave the BBC series prior to news breaking out that she had requested the footage of her rehearsals following a traumatic experience during the competition, which led to PTSD for her.

A professional dancer, aged 33, was subsequently suspended by the BBC as they investigate allegations of inappropriate conduct outside of the camera’s view from the actress, 50, and two ex-celebrity partners. However, he maintains his innocence regarding these claims.

Over the past weekend, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I waited for Amanda’s long-anticipated interview. Finally, after months of speculation, she spoke out about her experience on the show. In her own words, she revealed that Giovanni’s treatment towards her had been more than just harsh – it was downright abusive. She emphasized that his behavior went beyond what was necessary and left a deep impact on her.

During the Together Live Tour at The Lowry in Salford, where Giovanni was performing with Anton Du Beke, it seemed to onlookers that he made a jab at Amanda, according to The Mirror’s account.

Based on the report, he told the crowd: “Fear not, I’ll return. I’m curious to hear what this supposedly crazy woman has to say next.”

Giovanni did not name anyone specifically.

TopMob has contacted Giovanni’s representative for comment.

Giovanni refused to acknowledge the allegations of harmful or intimidating actions leveled against him by Amanda during her BBC interview, instead choosing to work with the network.

In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, she expressed her concern over Giovanni’s actions, stating they were unwarranted, harsh, unfair, and hurtful. I couldn’t stand by and allow him to inflict such behavior upon others.

I gave careful consideration to filing a complaint despite anticipating negative consequences. However, I couldn’t bear the thought of future audiences experiencing the same issues if I didn’t speak up.

I’ve been through an unbelievable ordeal, facing death threats and harsh criticism after speaking out against someone’s inappropriate behavior. It’s disheartening to know that the BBC was aware of his questionable actions for years, with numerous complaints from concerned individuals and warnings given to producers. Sadly, it seems that nothing was done to address the situation. I wasn’t an isolated case; others had experienced similar treatment at his hands. Looking back, I deeply regret ever having crossed paths with him.

Previously reported information suggests that Amanda, Ranvir Singh, and Laura Whitmore came together for a heartfelt discussion, sharing their personal experiences while working with Giovanni on the program.

As a devoted supporter of Giovanni, I can tell you that when the BBC passed on claims from their investigation to us, Giovanni willingly and openly worked with them.

Based on my understanding of the text, I believe that the individual being referred to, named Giovanni, is denying allegations made against him in a Sunday tabloid, The Sun. He emphasizes that none of the specific accusations outlined in the article are present in any form within the context he is addressing. Furthermore, he refutes these allegations outright and denies any involvement in abusive or threatening behavior towards anyone. As someone who has worked with individuals navigating public scrutiny, I can appreciate the importance of clarifying one’s stance in a clear and definitive manner to set the record straight. It’s essential for an individual’s reputation and personal well-being that their version of events is heard loud and clear. In this situation, Giovanni has made it abundantly evident that he holds no truth to these allegations.

“He’s given significant proof for the investigation and he’s sure he’ll be exonerated.”

When I was reached out to by TopMob for a comment regarding the BBC, I chose not to engage as our policy is to keep quiet about individual matters and avoid fueling rumors or speculation.

Based on my personal experiences and interactions with various individuals and organizations, I strongly believe that effective communication is key to addressing concerns and finding solutions. In this regard, I fully support the approach of being open to feedback from others. As someone who has been in leadership positions, I understand the importance of listening attentively and taking action when necessary.

With the aggressive law firm Schillings, Giovanni will present the necessary transcripts as evidence of his impartial actions.
