Zendaya’s mother reacts to claims her daughter has secretly married Tom Holland after stylist Law Roach said ‘the wedding has already happened’

Zendaya’s mom has responded to rumors that she and Tom Holland are secretly married. The speculation started after Zendaya’s hairstylist hinted that a wedding had already taken place.

Law Roach dropped the bombshell news on Sunday night on the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards.

He said to Access Hollywood: ‘The wedding has already happened. You missed it.’

When pressed by a reporter, Roach confirmed with a laugh, ‘It’s very true.’

Now, Zendaya’s mother Claire Stoermer has responded to the moment from the carpet.

She shared a clip from Zendaya’s stylist’s interview on her Instagram Story with a laughing emoji.

She cryptically added: ‘The laugh…’

Claire, a former teacher from Oakland, California, has played a major role in shaping her daughter’s life and career.

Zendaya has shared that she greatly admires her mother’s commitment to teaching in schools with limited resources, and that if she hadn’t become an actress, she would have likely followed in her mother’s footsteps and become a teacher herself.

In February, people began wondering if Zendaya was married after she was seen wearing a plain gold ring while out in Beverly Hills.

Rumors about the couple’s relationship started over a year ago at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, when the 29-year-old actress first showed off a sparkling diamond ring on her ring finger.

A few months later, Tom, 29, addressed the rumors in a charming moment during a panel event.

During an interview, a reporter accidentally called Zendaya Tom Holland’s ‘girlfriend’ while talking about his daughter. Holland playfully corrected him, laughing it off.

‘Fiancée,’ he clarified.  

The Spider-Man actor and their partner have both expressed a desire to keep their relationship private, believing it’s separate from their work as actors.

He shared with The Hollywood Reporter that they deeply value their relationship and want to keep it private and special.

This is just something we want to do for ourselves, and it’s completely separate from our jobs or any obligations we have to others.

In an interview with GQ, Zendaya described her relationship as ‘sacred’ and expressed her desire to keep it private.

She explained that when you truly love someone, you sometimes find yourself wanting to experience their joys and possessions as if they were your own.

To me, loving someone is a deeply meaningful and precious experience, something to be shared and cherished between two people.

Zendaya and Tom first connected in 2016 while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, where they played opposite each other.

The next year, rumors began circulating that the two had become close while making the movie, but they publicly denied being romantically involved.

The couple publicly confirmed they were dating in July 2021 after pictures surfaced of them kissing in a car.
