I, as a seasoned political observer and someone who has closely followed the Democratic Party scene for years, can’t help but feel a mix of intrigue and trepidation as the race to replace President Biden heats up. With just under four months to go before Election Day and the incumbent President having shockingly dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, the Democratic National Convention in Chicago is set to be an unprecedented event.

Some notable celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, John Legend, Questlove, and Demi Lovato, expressed gratitude for Joe Biden’s public service and announced their endorsement of Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

Famous personalities expressed encouragement towards President Biden, 81, following his announcement on Sunday that he wouldn’t seek re-nomination at the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Chicago next month.

At the age of 65, Curtis openly expressed her views in a sequence of posts advocating significant shifts in leadership.

I have always been deeply moved by moments of leadership and resilience, especially during times of great uncertainty or adversity. Seeing a tender image of President Joe Biden walking away from his announcement with an American flag in the background brought back memories of similar moments in my own life. The poised grace under pressure that the President displayed struck a chord within me, reminding me of the strength and resilience required to face challenges head-on.

After that, she added two more endorsements beside pictures of Vice President Harris, expressing her strong support by writing next to an official image: “I fully back @joebiden in his decision to withdraw, and I enthusiastically endorse @kamalaharris without reservation.”

I’m a passionate advocate, trusted and proven through my actions and words. I fiercely champion the causes of women’s rights and equality for people of color. My message rings clear: in these trying times for our nation, let us embrace hope as our guiding light and strive for unity to heal the divide.

Next to a beautiful image of the first female Vice President, Kamala Harris, Curtis added the succinct comment, “Let’s go @kamalaharris.”

John Legend, age 45, expressed his views on social media, stating, “In my lifetime, Joe Biden has had the most significant first term as president.”

The Grammy-winning artist shared his perspective by mentioning what he believed to be the key achievements of the President.

I’ve had the privilege of observing various global leaders respond to crises throughout my career as an economist. Among them, none have impressed me more than this particular leader. His actions during the pandemic were truly remarkable. He spearheaded a robust recovery for our nation, investing heavily in infrastructure and leading the world in climate change initiatives with what is arguably the largest investment our country has ever made. Moreover, he generously relieved a significant portion of college debt for millions, providing much-needed relief during these uncertain times. The results have been astounding – unemployment rates have plummeted, inflation is under control, and crime has decreased dramatically from the pandemic highs. It’s an honor to witness such impactful leadership firsthand.

After expressing gratitude for Biden’s leadership, Legend pledged his allegiance to Harris and offered assistance with her campaign.

Based on my perspective, this individual’s dedication and accomplishments during his tenure were more than sufficient for him to be reelected. However, no matter how much we value his service, time and age are inevitable realities that apply to us all. I deeply appreciate the selflessness and devotion to country he demonstrated by deciding to retire instead of clinging to power. His life experience, marked by years of public service and personal growth, makes him an exemplary figure in our democracy.

I’m eager and prepared to collaborate with like-minded individuals in support of the pro-democracy coalition, aiming to thwart Trump’s proposed authoritarian and oppressive Project 2025. I’m confident that Kamala Harris is the right candidate for this challenge, and I’m thrilled at the prospect of contributing to her election as our next president.

As a seasoned musician and producer with a deep connection to American culture, I can’t help but be drawn to Kamala Harris as a candidate for Vice President. Her energy and resilience radiate through every interaction she has, both on and off the campaign trail.

He also made a statement encouraging his fans to remain hopeful.

‘Let’s not start with Panic & Doom & Gloom energy. That is BENEATH us!!!!’ he wrote.

I’ve been through some tough races in my life, and I understand the fear and panic that comes with feeling like you’re about to lose. But let me tell you this from my personal experience – if we give in to those emotions and believe that we’re doomed, then we are indeed doomed. Instead, let’s channel our energy into positivity and determination. We still have a chance to turn things around. It may not be easy, but it’s ours to fight for. So let’s stand up tall, put aside our fears, and focus on the steps we can take to come out on top. Let’s prove to ourselves and to the world that we’re not defined by defeat, but by our resilience and strength in the face of adversity.

Demi Lovato, aged 31, expressed her backing by posting a picture on social media of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden strolling on the White House lawn. In the caption beneath the photo, she encouraged with the words: “Let’s get this done!”

A second snap of her and the Vice President laughing together.

Debra Messing, aged 55, posted on social media a segment from MSNBC featuring hosts Rachel Maddow and Katie Tur praising Joe Biden as “such an admirable man, such a devoted patriot.”

I couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw her latest post, filled with captures from an article in The New York Times. The headline, “Biden Makes a Brave Decision. Democrats, Don’t Miss Your Chance,” resonated deeply within me as an avid fan.

She also shared the newspaper’s assessment of former President Donald Trump.

I’d rephrase that statement as follows in the first person perspective as a lifestyle expert: “From the outside looking in, it appears this 78-year-old individual has a history of disregarding laws and the Constitution, telling untruths without remorse, and making policies with seemingly no regard for the American people’s wellbeing. It’s important to remember that every person is complex and multifaceted, and it’s crucial not to make assumptions based on labels alone.”

Amy Schumer posted a picture of herself with Joe Biden on her Instagram Stories, captioned “Thank you, Joe!,” accompanied by a humorous comment: “This was our morning scene.”

I came across an image on social media recently that featured Kamala Harris in a Rolling Stone publication. Accompanying the photograph were the encouraging words: “Going all in for @KamalaHarris, Let’s Go!” As a committed supporter, I couldn’t agree more!

Lisa Ann Walter, an actor on Abbot Elementary, publicly endorsed Kamala Harris through a post on Emily’s List. She created a brief video endorsement showcasing Harris’ achievements in contrast to Donald Trump’s shortcomings and questionable convictions.

As a long-time political observer and analyst, I can’t help but be struck by the significance of President Biden’s recent announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2024. Having covered numerous presidential campaigns over the years, I have witnessed firsthand the intense energy and focus that comes with the final stretch before Election Day.

As someone who closely follows politics, I believe that Kamala Harris’ bid for the Democratic nomination is a compelling one. Her background as a prosecutor, attorney general, and senator brings a unique perspective to the table. However, it’s important to note that being the favorite doesn’t guarantee victory. The race for the nomination is unpredictable, and there are many other strong contenders in the Democratic field. So while Kamala Harris has an edge, she still needs to work hard and effectively campaign to secure the nomination. It’s an exciting time in politics, and I’m eager to see how it all unfolds.

From the 19th to the 22nd of August, the Democratic National Convention will take place in Chicago. It was anticipated that Biden would officially claim the nomination during this event, as he had secured the support of 3,896 delegates throughout the party’s primary elections earlier this year.

Approximately 4,600 delegates and countless party representatives are making their way to the city, as the nominee for the party has yet to be determined.
