6 Roleplay Ideas to Spice Up Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After numerous gamers have completed “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2“, and the long-awaited Hardcore Mode now available, there’s never been a better moment to revisit medieval Bohemia and embark on a fresh adventure. With most quests offering various resolutions and outcomes, there’s already ample opportunity for replay value. However, players can add an extra layer of excitement to their new playthroughs in KCD2 by considering these engaging roleplay concepts.
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share some creative roleplay suggestions. These ideas might call for players to establish and adhere to specific guidelines or incline toward particular choices. They could even shape the adventures that our beloved character, Henry, embarks upon. For instance, being a man of integrity and honesty, it’s unlikely that Henry would aid a band of thieves in any way.
6. Saint Henry
A Virtuous Playthrough Avoiding All Sins
In KCD2, players might have already experienced a morally upright playthrough as Henry. However, they could deepen this experience by portraying Henry as a sincere penitent on a journey towards absolution and possibly sainthood. This would mean refraining from acts of violence, theft, drinking alcohol, consuming meat, engaging in sexual activity, lying, gambling, visiting brothels or bathhouses, and even stealing from the deceased. Adhering to some of these guidelines could also lead to earning Achievements/Trophies.
In a more natural and conversational way, one could say:
Henry, being virtuous, should always strive to lend a helping hand when he can, and frequently visit places of worship. The ‘Fundamentals of Theology Perk’ can be used to aid in his scholarly pursuits. For roleplaying purposes, consider dressing Henry in humble attire like a white tunic and bare feet. A modest approach is key. If Henry ever finds himself doing something questionable as part of the main storyline, make sure he seeks forgiveness by visiting a priest and embarking on a penitential journey.
5. Branded Criminal Henry
Experience Life Shunned & In The Shadows, One Crime Away From The Gallows

In the criminal justice system of KCD2, Henry may face branding for severe offenses. This marks him as an outcast within civilized society, and a subsequent major crime could lead to execution. Nevertheless, in many game sessions, players tend to steer clear of such actions or revert to a saved state when they encounter issues with the bailiff.
In other words, playing as the branded character named Henry throughout the game could offer an intriguing challenge, since most characters may be hesitant to assist him or engage in trades. Since he has no legitimate way to earn a living or obtain food, Henry might be forced to steal. To make things tougher, opting for Hardcore Mode with the Menace negative Perk means that Henry’s brand will never recover, making survival even more challenging.
4. Vengeful Henry
Henry Has A Lot Of Scores To Settle

Initially, it’s clear that Henry has unfinished business and a lot of pent-up anger. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to imagine him portraying a character driven by relentless vengeance. For instance, encountering Cumans who ravaged Skalitz and murdered his parents would likely provoke him to retaliate, and in certain situations, he might actively seek them out.
During the course of the game, he was given the option to pick confrontational dialogue options when interacting with characters like Istvan Toth, Erik, and Markvart von Aulitz. Players could escalate this behavior, causing Henry’s anger to show not just towards these specific individuals but also others who betray him or cause him harm in any way.
3. Gallant Henry The Chivalrous
Protect The Weak At All Costs

Not every morally virtuous gameplay is identical. For instance, the Saint Henry concept disallows violence, but it’s not mandatory for all. A noble playthrough, on the other hand, allows Henry to fight enemies for righteous purposes and primarily to safeguard the vulnerable. It would be fitting to adorn oneself in elegant clothing and polished armor. The Knight in Shining Armor Perk for Warfare seems tailored for this style.
In a more contemporary phrasing: The concept of courtly love in the Middle Ages could align with a chivalric game scenario, where Lady Rosa Ruthard could be an attractive romantic interest. A chivalrous character named Henry might possess not only combat skills but also piety, intellectual depth, and a high level of education. He should respond courageously when witnessing bandits harassing travelers, protecting them instead. However, certain tasks may seem below Henry’s social standing if he is portrayed as a knight, although it is important to remember that he doesn’t technically hold that title.
2. Henry The Blacksmith’s Son
Earn A Living As A Humble Blacksmith

Though Martin might not be his biological father, Henry has always considered himself the blacksmith’s son from Skalitz. Players could embark on an alternate save where they primarily experience life as a simple village smith in the game. This character offers numerous side quests and dialogue choices that delve deep into the world of blacksmithing, providing rich role-play opportunities for players.
This may particularly attract those who initially assisted Miller Kreyzyl rather than Blacksmith Radovan during their first playthrough, as there are two paths to the Semine wedding. Becoming a blacksmith can be a profitable venture, and once Henry acquires Martin’s Secret Perk for Craftsmanship, players will have the ability to create top-tier weapons in the game. Don’t forget to grab a leather apron and gloves from Henry’s room in Tachov for a more authentic experience; these items also slightly increase his Craftsmanship skills.
1. Alcoholic Henry
Drink Away Henry’s Sorrows & Pain

In the initial game, Henry endured a series of hardships that included witnessing his parents’ death and watching his home village get burned down during the prologue. Throughout the game, he engaged in numerous battles and at minimum, killed Runt. The trauma from the opening sequence of the sequel was also significant as Hans Capon’s group perished and Henry himself was shot from behind.
In light of these circumstances, it’s entirely possible for Henry to resort to excessive drinking as a way to cope with his misfortunes. A gameplay scenario where Henry is frequently intoxicated, often collapsing, and potentially volatile could introduce unique challenges and result in some comical situations. The game design includes a Drinking skill and corresponding Perks that support this playstyle. For instance, drunk Henry might focus on hand-to-hand combat and regularly engage in brawls.
