“SportsCenter” host Elle Duncan leaves ESPN for Netflix

I’m so excited! Our streamer just announced that Duncan will be the main personality for all our live sports events. And get this – she’s going to debut on Netflix next year with ‘Skyscraper Live’! It’s going to be incredible – Alex Honnold, the free solo climber, is going to attempt to climb Taipei 101, which is the tallest building in Taiwan. I can’t wait to watch!

She was Miss World USA 1972 before becoming a DC Comics heroine, can you guess who she is?

Oh my gosh, she was just… breathtaking. I remember seeing pictures from the 1972 Miss Arizona pageant and being completely floored. She had these amazing legs, and she absolutely owned that swimsuit competition – a classic one-piece, and her dark hair just cascaded down. She didn’t just win, she captivated everyone. It was clear she was special from the very beginning!

Now that the first season of IT: Welcome To Derry is finished, I’m ready to share my rankings in this week’s edition of The King Beat. Be careful – there are spoilers ahead! – but let’s get started.

Rob Reiner’s Stephen King Adaptations: A Legacy Of Excellence

I always found it fascinating that even after directors like John Carpenter and David Cronenberg started making movies from Stephen King’s stories, a lot of critics still didn’t take him seriously. They mostly saw him as just a writer of cheap, sensational paperbacks. And then, King himself went and directed Maximum Overdrive, which… well, it’s become infamous as a pretty terrible movie! It was his only time directing, and it definitely didn’t help change those critics’ minds.
