HoYoverse announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7, called “Champions Never Fall to the Past,” will be released on March 24, 2026. The update focuses on a large-scale competition called the Hollow Champion, and will also introduce two new playable characters, fresh events, and other new content.

The Hollow Champion competition takes over New Eridu in ZZZ Version 2.7

The Hollow Champion tournament is becoming a major event in New Eridu. Organized by TOPS, it’s attracting competitors from many different groups, all vying for prizes like the coveted Porcelloy W Engine and other valuable rewards.

Well-known groups like the Cunning Hares and the Sons of Calydon will be competing in the event, alongside some surprising new participants, including officers from the Public Security Metropolitan Order Division.

This update introduces two new playable characters: Cissia, from the Metropolitan Order Division, and Nangong Yu, the captain and lead dancer of the Angels of Delusion. Rumors are also circulating about even more mysterious fighters entering the tournament.

ZZZ Version 2.7 update will feature two new S-tier agents

The latest update, Version 2.7, adds two strong new playable characters, called S-Rank agents, to Zenless Zone Zero.

1. Cissia

Cissia is a powerful Electric-type agent, ranked S, who uses a special ability called Venom. This ability increases her critical hit rate and consistently deals electric damage to enemies. As she builds up Venom stacks with her EX Special Attack, she can then unleash significant damage with her Basic Attack, Serpent’s Kiss.

2. Nangong Yu

Nangong Yu joins the team as a top-tier Ether Stun Agent, specializing in quickly building up Anomaly damage against enemies who are stunned. She also gradually recovers Downbeat on her own, and gains even more Downbeat whenever her allies inflict Anomaly damage during combat.

As you build up energy, you can unleash strong charged attacks that not only deal damage but also make enemies stay stunned longer, and speed up your own ability to power up and gain special effects. Her ultimate ability further enhances the team’s attack power by activating the Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise.

Along with these two, ZZZ Version 2.7 update also brings:

  • For Version 2.7’s rerun banners, S-Rank Ice Rupture Agent Yidhari and Electric Attack Agent Seed will arrive.
  • Nangong Yu is coming with her new outfit, Rhapsody’s Muse.
  • And, you can unlock an exclusive faction wallpaper after collecting all members of Angels of Delusion.
