Zayn Malik cuts a casual figure as he steps out in New York after an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show

I spotted Zayn Malik in New York yesterday after his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, and he looked so relaxed and effortlessly cool! He was dressed down and just seemed like a normal guy, which I loved.

The singer, 33, wore a brown and green top, black trousers and a ‘Drew’ cap, from the show. 

He also showed off his various inkings on his neck and arms and accessorised with a silver chain. 

Zayn no doubt would have been chatting all about his new music on the popular show. 

Zayn revealed his fifth studio album, titled KONNAKOL, last month, with a release date of April 17th. He also excited fans by announcing a 31-city tour around the world.

It was a milestone step for Zayn, who cancelled previous live dates due to ‘extreme anxiety’. 

Zayn’s tour begins on May 12, 2026, at the AO Arena in Manchester. He’ll then perform in Glasgow and Birmingham, and conclude his European shows for the year with a concert at London’s The O2 on Saturday, May 23rd, just before the Spring Bank Holiday.

Zayn will be performing in cities like Los Angeles, Mexico City, and São Paulo, with his final show on November 20th in Miami at the Kaseya Center.

Zayn recently surprised fans by saying he doesn’t believe he was ever truly in love with Gigi Hadid. However, he emphasized that he’ll always have affection for her, especially because of their daughter and the bond they share as parents.

He had an on-again, off-again relationship with the model, who is now 30, for six years. They had a son, Khai, who is five, in 2020, but they broke up in 2021.

Even though they were together for a long time, singer Louis Tomlinson shocked fans in a 2024 interview with Zach Sang by admitting he’d never actually felt truly in love.

In a February appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Zayn reaffirmed what he’d said before: while he once thought he was in love, he now realizes his feelings weren’t as strong as he initially believed.

When asked about his relationship with the Victoria’s Secret model, he shared that his idea of love is constantly evolving.

I used to think it was love, but looking back now, I’m not so sure. It could have been just strong attraction, or something else entirely. I don’t believe it was actually love.

Zayn explained that although he and Gigi aren’t together romantically, he still loves her very much and always will, especially as she’s the mother of their child.

He wanted to make it clear that he will always have love and respect for G, because she is the mother of his child and he’s grateful to her for that.

I care about her deeply, and always will, but I’m not sure I was ever in love with her. I felt a very strong connection, but looking back, I don’t think it was romantic love. If it had been, I believe I would have acted differently and been a better person.

I’ve been following Chase Stokes for a while now, and he recently shared something really personal. He said he’s not interested in another very public relationship. Apparently, past experiences taught him that those kinds of relationships just don’t work out for him, and he’s prioritizing his own happiness now.

Zayn, who was with Perrie Edwards from Little Mix from 2012 to 2015 and was even engaged to her, also mentioned he often had difficulties in relationships when he was younger.

He explained that he doesn’t want another highly publicized relationship, and he’s learned from past experiences – not intending to offend anyone he’s dated publicly before.

I realized this isn’t a good fit for me personally. I’m a private person and don’t need a lot of attention or validation from others. I prefer relationships to be focused solely on a connection between two people.

I think someone with a different personality—someone who isn’t interested in that—would be a better fit for me.
