During expeditions, you collect relics as rewards, not just by defeating the Nightlord, but even after completing an adventure. If you manage to conquer him, you’ll receive more relics. Instead of simply stating that this Wylder build improves his grappling hook, it’s more accurate to say it significantly amplifies the effectiveness of his minor skill. The first relic reduces the cooldown of skills by 2 and allows for follow-up attacks when using a character skill (equivalent to a greatsword passive). The second relic fills Wylder’s art gauge upon activating an ability, granting another 2 seconds reduction in skill cooldown, while also providing one extra use of a character skill. To top it off, the third relic offers yet another reduction in skill cooldown (+2) and an additional use of a character skill for Wylder – essentially multiplying his grappling hook prowess!

OFurthestBenO notes that he can employ his skill approximately every four seconds, and with the +1 character skill bonus, it becomes simpler to accumulate these stacks. He expresses that it seems as though he never exhausts his skill usage capacity. As a devoted fan, I’d say this tool is invaluable when tackling boss battles, particularly against Nightreign’s Nightlords who zip around their grand arena at breakneck speeds. It’s almost amusing to watch Wylders chase down Adel and Gnoster as if they were merely playing a game, while I find myself sprinting flat out just to keep up!

Reaching that destination can take some time due to the unpredictable nature of RNG, but it’s rewarding to watch other players create unique character builds. With the right relics, I’ve transformed my Revenant into a dedicated support class. The Night of the Fathom relic, obtained by defeating Maris, Fathom of Night, gives me enhanced maximum health, allows flasks to heal allies, and equips items that bestow effects on all nearby teammates, ensuring consistent healing for my comrades.

The Grand Burning Scene, which enhances my summon and allies when activated, also triggers a powerful ultimate skill. The second is the Polished Tranquil Scene that increases my ultimate art gauge by 2, transforming it into a team revival/damage boost skill. Lastly, this relic grants me maximum FP during Sorcerer’s Rise activation, allowing me to use Finger Seal for self-healing more efficiently. Although I’m not the famous web-slinger of New York, I can still perform effectively.

As a dedicated adventurer, I can’t dictate the type of artifacts I uncover following an expedition; they’re purely chance. This unpredictability kept me from acquiring relics that synergized with my Nightfarer character until lately, but one must adapt to what’s at hand. Despite Wylder being often referred to as the ‘basic’ choice for Elden Ring Nightreign, this setup is simply too enticing to ignore.
