X Factor star reveals he’s transitioned 12 years after impressing judges as singer shares his ‘inspiring’ story
As an ardent fan of music, especially those who have graced the stage of X Factor, I can’t help but be moved by the inspiring journey of Dylan Holloway. This man, now known as Dylan And The Moon, has not only captivated us with his melodious voice but also with his courage and resilience.
An X Factor star has come out as transgender and has shared his inspiring story on social media.
After a dozen years since captivating judges with his singing talent, Dylan Holloway is now sharing insights into his journey.
Back in 2012, I, a die-hard fan, was part of the dynamic duo MK1, alongside the legendary Simeon Dixon, who took the stage for a shot at that coveted competition. With over 25k Instagram followers cheering us on, we showcased our musical prowess to the world!
Dylan and Simeon placed 11th, then dedicated the next two years to creating music following their tenure.
The singing duo later called it a day and went on to pursue their solo careers in music.
Dylan, known as Dylan And The Moon these days, recently told a heartwarming tale to his followers via Instagram.
On his Instagram, the artist shared a pinned video discussing his transition and its connection with his musical journey.
He said: ‘I’m a musician and I’m also a transgender man. I make indie pop music and I used to release music under my old name Lots Holloway.
After undergoing the transition, I’ve been utilizing my previous vocal recordings and old versions of my voice for harmonizing and duets with my past self. This is done to convey a message that it’s alright to accept and embrace who you’ve always been, as they played a significant role in shaping who you are today.
Fans flocked to his comments in praise of speaking so confidently about his transition.
Your creativity shines through in your work, and the powerful message you conveyed is truly admirable. It’s always a pleasure to see what you’re up to.
‘Absolutely brilliant Dylan xx enjoy you journey xx’,
‘Awesome positive message Dylan. Keep doing what you’re doing!’
During his X Factor stint, Dylan came out as bisexual in an interview with The Sun at the time.
He informed the media, “When I step out, men often appear perplexed when I mention that I have a girlfriend.”
As someone who has always defied societal norms and expectations, I find myself in a peculiar predicament – a conundrum that has left me both amused and perplexed. Growing up, I was often pigeonholed as either one or the other – either a girl or a boy, never given the space to express my true identity. However, as I’ve grown older, I’ve come to embrace my fluid sexuality, finding solace and fulfillment in both male and female companionship.
Initially, I was dating a boyfriend, but later on, I switched to having a girlfriend, which turned out quite amusing. This girl was a friend of mine from our town, with whom we would often spend time together. One day, I began experiencing strange feelings and found myself thinking, “I seem to fancy her too.”
