Wuchang: Fallen Feathers IP Rights Acquired by Digital Bros for €4 Million

Following issues with its development team, Leenzee no longer owns the rights to the game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Digital Bros, the company behind 505 Games (who originally published the game), has purchased those rights for €4 million.

With this agreement, Leenzee will no longer receive payments from game sales. Digital Bros celebrated the success of the first game, reporting over one million units sold and more than €30 million in revenue as of March 31, 2026. These numbers demonstrate the game’s quality and its potential for continued success.

So, it looks like we might get another game in the future, and honestly, this isn’t new for 505 Games. Remember when they bought the rights to Ghostrunner from All In! Games a while back? They then worked with One More Level to make Ghostrunner 2, so they definitely know how to build on a good thing. It makes me hopeful we’ll see something similar happen here!

This purchase of the Wuchang intellectual property follows news that its director and producer, Xia Siyuan, was let go. Reports also suggest that other developers were asked to switch to support roles instead of continuing to create new content. After they reportedly didn’t comply, they were also terminated.

Siyuan has now started his own business. It would be quite ironic if the original team ended up continuing work on Wuchang through Digital Bros. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, so keep an eye out for more news.
