Wonder Man’s Josh Gad Reveals What Kevin Feige Promised for Wild Cameo

Josh Gad recently shared that when the team behind the Disney+ series Wonder Man asked him to make a surprise appearance, he told Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige he had one request. Gad plays a boastful, made-up version of himself in the fourth episode of the show, which launched with all eight episodes on January 27, 2026.

Kevin Feige accepted Josh Gad’s one condition for Wonder Man cameo

I was so fascinated to read that Josh Gad had one simple request when Marvel approached him about a Wonder Man cameo! Apparently, when Kevin Feige pitched the idea, Josh said he’d do it only if he could eventually play another character in the MCU – one that wasn’t just himself. Feige agreed, and Josh was all in, ready to embrace the wonderfully strange adventure. It’s great to know he’s keeping his options open for future roles, and I can’t wait to see what he does next!

As a movie fan, I’m still holding out hope that Gal Gadot could end up joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe someday! Right now, though, it’s anyone’s guess what role she might play – we just don’t know yet.

In the movie Wonder Man, a character based on Gad ends up working with and befriending Byron Bowers’ character, DeMarr Davis, also known as Doorman. Because Bowers’ character has the ability to pass through solid objects and teleport things – including people – through his body, Gad accidentally ends up inside him.

Gad is a seasoned actor with over twenty years of experience in film and television. He’s appeared in movies like Watching the Detectives, Love & Other Drugs, The Internship, Beauty and the Beast, and Adulthood. On TV, he’s been in shows including 1600 Penn, The Comedians, and Wolf Like Me. Many also know him as the voice of Olaf in the Frozen movies and Chuck in the Angry Birds films.

Some of Gad’s upcoming projects include The Angry Birds Movie 3 and Spaceballs 2.
