Ahead of filming for season 3 of The Last of Us, there have been a couple of changes to the cast. Danny Ramirez, known for his role as the Falcon in Marvel movies, had to drop out of playing Manny due to other commitments. He’s being replaced by Jorge Lendeborg Jr., who also appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been in the Spider-Man films.
Clea DuVall, known for her roles in Veep and directing Happiest Season, will play a member of the Seraphites, a group centered around a religious leader.
As of now, Ramirez and DuVall haven’t commented on the news on social media. However, Lendeborg Jr. announced it on Instagram, partnering with Deadline to share the news.

Season 3 has seen some changes in production. Halley Gross, a co-executive producer, is no longer with the show, and Neil Druckmann, who previously co-ran the show, stepped down last year and is now only an executive producer.
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know I’ve decided to step back from being creatively involved with the HBO show, The Last of Us. It was a tough call, but I felt it was the right thing to do.

Now that season 2 is finished and before we begin serious work on season 3, I’m shifting my full attention to Naughty Dog and what we’ll be creating next.
Working on this show has been a major achievement for me. I’m incredibly proud to have collaborated with Craig Mazin as an executive producer, director, and writer for the past two seasons.

He added that he’s incredibly grateful for the care and hard work the cast and crew put into bringing both The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II to life, and he’s excited to see HBO and PlayStation Productions continue Ellie and Abby’s story in the next season.
Season 3 of the show will cover the rest of the story from The Last of Us Part II game. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring, but we don’t know when it will be released yet.
The Last of Us is available via Sky and NOW in the UK. The show airs on HBO in the US.
