NetEase Games and Everstone Studio have launched their open-world adventure RPG, Where Winds Meet, as a free-to-play game on PlayStation 5 and PC. You can download it now from Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. Alongside the game’s release, Season 1: Blade Out is also available, offering players new ways to earn rewards.

In Where Winds Meet, players can get 180 free cosmetic items. Plus, as a thank you for pre-registering, those who log in will receive rewards like gift packages, the special title “Patron of Winds,” and Echo Jades.

The game Where Winds Meet was initially released for PC in China on December 27, 2024, with mobile versions for Android and iOS following on January 9, 2025. Here’s a description of the game, according to Everstone Studio:

In Where Winds Meet, you’ll discover a huge, detailed open world with over 20 different areas to roam. The game blends historical elements with the fantastical world of Wuxia. You’ll encounter over 10,000 unique characters, each with their own personality and reactions, and your choices will determine whether they become your friends or foes.

Players can become skilled in over 40 different fighting styles and wield a variety of weapons like spears, swords, and dual blades. They’ll also unlock special abilities, such as precise acupuncture strikes, powerful roars, nimble picking techniques, and the flowing movements of Tai Chi.

You can play this game alone as a skilled swordsman, or team up with up to four friends for an epic adventure. Expect over 150 hours of story-driven exploration, and if you want to put your skills to the test, you can battle other players in PVP combat.

In Where Winds Meet, you create your own story and choose your own path. You can play as a doctor, merchant, assassin, or bounty hunter, and decide whether to be a force for good or evil. It’s up to you to stay true to your goals or forge a new destiny in a world of freedom and adventure.
