The First Berserker Khazan: How to Farm the Deep Shadow Set

Pieces of the Deep Shadow armor occasionally drop from defeated enemies, but it appears that certain Knivesveil Bandits have a greater likelihood of dropping items from this specific set as opposed to many other enemies.

A great location to gather the Deep Shadow gear is within the mission called ‘Traitor Revealed’. Towards the end of the second ‘Blade Nexus’, you’ll find a powerful Knivesveil Executioner. Navigate there and conquer it for a chance to receive any armor piece from the Deep Shadow set as a drop.

To get to the high-ranking foe, you should take the route to the right of the Blade Nexus, climb up to the rooftops using a ladder located in an alleyway.

Typically, top-tier adversaries don’t reappear once defeated. To farm any elite enemy in the game, you might need to exit to the main menu. Upon reentering, return to your last saved location in Blade Nexus. By this point, all enemies, including elites, will have respawned.

In upcoming tasks, more complex objectives yield superior rewards. Should you encounter a Knivesveil Executioner near a Blade Nexus, it might be worth focusing on harvesting them instead.

Deep Shadow Set Scroll Location

The Deep Shadow set’s scroll is located at the start of the Devoured Village mission. To find it, head towards the house or tower that’s situated to the left of the village’s well, starting from the first Blade Nexus. Climb up the ladders and reach the rooftop. Nearby, you’ll spot a hole; jump down onto the wooden beam below. You’ll find the scroll on a hanging corpse there.

Deep Shadow Set Overview

With six pieces of the Deep Shadow set equipped, you’ll gain the following stats and bonuses:

  • (2) 15% Stamina DMG Increase from Frontal Attacks
  • (3) 10% Frontal Assault DMG Increase
  • (4) 90% Guard Penetration
  • (5) 15% DMG Increase for the Assault skill
  • (6) 20% DMG Increase for the Afterimage Thrust skill

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve found this collection to be incredibly beneficial in my one-on-one battles with opponents. The 90% Guard Penetration boost is particularly handy against tough bosses and adversaries capable of blocking, ensuring that I maximize the benefits of my Frontal Assault bonuses instead of letting them go to waste.

Additionally, it’s important to mention that the Epic version of the Deep Shadow set’s Formless Warrior’s Spear provides the Assault: Skyfall ability. This additional skill offers a powerful final blow when combined with the Assault skill.
