Where to find the Starmetal Smithy in Avowed
In Dawnshore, many resources are ready for immediate crafting, but the Starmetal Fragment is among those that need additional help. Let’s guide you on locating the Starmeal Smithy in Avowed, and we’ll also walk you through starting the mission associated with it.
Be warned there are spoilers ahead for a later game area in the Avowed main campaign.
Where to find Fragment of Starmetal in Avowed
Let’s discuss the location of the Starmetal before we delve into where the smithy is situated. To find it, navigate your way to the bottom-right corner of the Paradis map. You’ll come across a landmark known as the Godless Altar. This will be right in front of the Emerald Stair Gatehouse Beacon.
Eliminate the Xaurip enemies lingering there to acquire the Fragment of Starmetal on the table.
In your journey, you’ll set off on the “Star-Stuff Forged” quest, which involves locating the smithy. Unfortunately, there’s no direct map marker for this enigmatic figure. Instead, you’ll need to interact with other characters in the game to gather clues about where the forger can be found.
Avowed Starmetal Smithy location
As a passionate adventurer, I embarked on the Starmeal quest, which seemed to require a specific material from a forge. Venturing through the Living Lands, I sought assistance from various blacksmiths, hoping to find clues about this mysterious substance. Unfortunately, my journey led me to dead ends in Gweneth’s Dawnshore and Stephan’s Emerald Stair.
It wasn’t until I reached Thirdborn that a fellow craftsman finally enlightened me – the Starmeal could only be utilized at Galawain’s Tusks, specifically through Solace Keep’s Forgemaster. The Galawain’s Tusks, nestled in the volcanic region and home to the Solace people, lies in the top-right corner of our map.
Solace Keep can only be reached during advanced levels of gameplay, so advance deeper into the main storyline to gain access. From Stephan’s tip, Starmetal is used for crafting potent weapons, such as a Starmetal Mace. This exceptional material isn’t frequently encountered due to its classification as a “scarce resource.
If you haven’t arrived at Galawain’s Tusks yet, go ahead and keep the Starmetal with you for now since it’s a quest item. You won’t be able to sell or discard it from your inventory, and it doesn’t weigh anything, so don’t worry about running out of storage space.
