However, one hidden gem is sure to delight fans of The Lord of the Rings. The developers of this series have a history of incorporating Easter eggs into their game world, as seen in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, where a collection of amusing Easter eggs from various fandoms and franchises can be found.

In the upcoming game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the hidden reference to J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings”, known as the “Shire Easter Egg”, can be elusive due to its concealment within some high grass. Keep a keen eye during your travels, especially when passing by the scenic vistas and reading spots near Troskowitz. For those who might be uncertain, here’s a guide on locating the Shire Easter egg in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

At the start, players should make their way to the village named Troskowitz. Upon arrival, look for a path heading towards the northeast direction. This path should eventually lead them to an intriguing spot called “Bench Beneath Trosky Hill“. Players will recognize they’ve reached the correct location if they come across a tree atop a hill with a bench beneath it.

The place of interest is just north of the orchard, with a house filled with apples.

The region boasts a road running parallel to a hill, with a retaining wall on its western edge. As you traverse the roadway, make sure to face the retaining wall and maintain a watchful eye. Approximately a few feet from the tree’s base, nestled into the hillside, is a rabbit hole that bears a striking resemblance to the iconic Hobbit hole in Bag End. This entrance, adorned with a small rounded door, is camouflaged by the grass roof above it.

As players proceed along the road, they’ll find a couple of burrow openings on the opposite side of the path, close to where the tree and bench are situated. These particular burrows lack tiny wooden doors, making them simple burrows that somewhat resemble small Hobbit dwellings.

This suggests that the rabbit hole featuring a door is undoubtedly reminiscent of Bag End from _The Lord of the Rings_. Despite being perhaps too minuscule for a Hobbit to reside in, it seems to provide happiness for the resident rabbit.

Finding this specific Easter egg might prove challenging because a significant part of the rabbit hole is hidden beneath the grass.

One notable landmark in J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” Shire is affectionately known as the party tree. Alternatively, the towering tree atop the hill could symbolize this iconic spot. In essence, the hill with its miniature Hobbit homes carved into it serves as a charming tribute to Middle-earth’s Shire.

If players follow the path towards the tree and bench, they’ll not only reach their destination but will also be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama that resembles the Shire. The landscape unfolds into lush fields and a peaceful village. Moreover, it serves as an ideal reading spot because sitting on the bench grants players a boost to their Scholarship ability.
