The pen and the sword






You enter a new map: Kuttenberg. Upon your arrival, follow Zizka and Katherine to Lord Pisek’s residence. Meet in the banquet hall to engage in conversation with Pisek. After introductions are made, speak to Zusana in the courtyard baths, as indicated on your map, for cleaning purposes. End your day by enjoying a well-deserved rest in your bed. The next day, find Katherine in the courtyard to begin a duel. Once that’s over, pay respects to Zizka in a corner of the courtyard. Finally, return to the banquet hall to complete the mission.

When we talk about the devil






In this quest, start by following Zizka all the way to the Devil’s den. Once there, you will need to fight off a group of bandits to liberate the tavern. Attack when your enemies are vulnerable and counter-attack effectively to quickly end the fight. After clearing the area, follow Kubyenka to locate the weapons. Near a tent, pick up a shovel. Use it to dig at the spots marked by Kubyenka to unearth the weapons.



Once I’ve retrieved the weapons, I’ll chat up Kubyenka to set up an ambush with Zizka. After the cutscene, I’ll hide in the background to avoid the soldiers’ notice. Then, taking advantage of surprise, I’ll strike them from behind, which will allow me to defeat them quickly and efficiently. Once the fight is over, I’ll discuss our return to the inn with Zizka, wrapping up the quest “When They Speak of the Devil”.

In the depths






Meet up within the city’s grounds to find the tavern where she works. Ask her for information about a certain character named Leatherhide. After the conversation, head towards The Estaminet tavern (indicated on your map) where you’ll find a man sitting at a table. Threaten him to get a potential location of your target. Later, visit the Black Horse Tavern at night for more information. You can enter an alley and question the miners present. They tell you that Leatherhide targets Germans specifically. Then, go to the nearby baths (as shown on the map above) to find one. Talk to the women there to gather more information and unlock additional dialogue options. Finally, speak to a drunk German and advise him to go home. Follow him discreetly down an alleyway where you’ll encounter Leatherhide.

1. Find the tavern where she works and ask about Leatherhide.
2. Head to The Estaminet tavern as shown on your map, threaten a man there for target location.
3. Visit the Black Horse Tavern at night to gather more information.
4. Talk to the miners in an alley to find out that Leatherhide targets Germans specifically.
5. Go to the nearby baths and talk to the women there for additional info and new dialogue options.
6. Speak to a drunk German and guide him home. Follow him secretly to meet Leatherhide in an alleyway.





According to your abilities, try to avoid a fight by intimidating Scorpio. If you succeed, he’ll reveal the location of a certain Samuel for you. Meet him to obtain a service in exchange for the position of Liechtenstein. At 10 PM, meet at the indicated location on the map to trigger a battle. Regardless of whether you win or lose, the outcome of the quest remains the same. However, try to win the fight by staying back and eliminating the guards one by one. In conclusion, you will encounter Liechtenstein, thus ending the quest.

Via argentum



At the start of the Via Argentum quest, visit Richard. Use the objective marker on your map to reach his property. Be aware, a fight will trigger as soon as you arrive. Position yourself discreetly to avoid guards’ attention and lure them towards your allies. Take enemies from the flank to neutralize them quickly. Once the fight is over, you receive a new objective: accuse Vavak. Go to the indicated location on your map to meet Christian de Pisek. Talk to him first in public, then privately, to unlock objectives related to miners scattered around the mine.

To begin with the Via Argentum mission, find Richard. Use your map’s objective marker to navigate to his property. Be cautious as a fight will start upon arrival. Stay hidden from guards and lead them towards your companions. Attack enemies from the side to swiftly defeat them. After the battle concludes, you’ll receive a new task: accuse Vavak. Meet Christian de Pisek at the marked location on your map. Initiate conversation with him publicly first, then privately, so as to unveil objectives related to the miners stationed around the mine.




You will find Samko outside, while Frank and Paul are inside the mine. Use the map to locate the entrance. Try using a strong approach if possible to help the miners out. After that, submit your report to Christian for new objectives.

1. Samko is outside, and Frank and Paul are inside the mine. To find the entrance, use this map as a guide. If it’s safe and possible, employ a strong strategy to assist the miners. Once you’ve done that, report back to Christian for further objectives.





Follow the marker for Fett’s location. Once you encounter him, threaten him in a similar way as you did with the others to obtain the necessary information. After getting what you need from him, proceed in the same manner with Herrmann to get his responses too. Upon completing these steps, submit your report to Christian. Then, follow the marker again to question Buresh and retrieve a safe-conduct. For the next objective, explore the area to find the blacksmith and interrogate him. Use your skills in persuasion, intimidation, or other means to get new information from him.

1. Find Fett using the marker. Threaten him like you did with others for info. Then do the same with Herrmann. Report to Christian.
2. Follow the marker again to question Buresh and grab a safe-conduit.
3. Explore the area to find the blacksmith, then interrogate him using your persuasion or intimidation skills.
4. Get new info from him.




When you reach the specified area, you should question Volkmar, but be cautious as he’s setting a trap. To make things easier, utilize your skills in persuasion, intimidation, or negotiation to try and reduce the number of opponents and simplify the upcoming fight. If you manage to decrease their numbers, you’ll have a better chance of quickly neutralizing your enemies. Once the adversaries are incapacitated, question Volkmar again. He will give you a hint about the existence of a secret workshop. Follow the instructions and navigate to the location indicated on your map to explore the workshop. Upon arrival, sneak quietly into the mine, especially if you’re going at night, which will further aid your infiltration. Proceed with caution to find Volkmar and explore the area for new clues or important items relevant to your quest’s continuation.






In your quest, upon entering the mine, you encounter a situation involving Volkmar. You can either accept his snatch or decline it. Afterwards, you may choose to follow him discreetly and either subdue or kill him once neutralized. All letters and keys on his body should be retrieved. If you happen to be in the mine during the night, take advantage of the opportunity to eliminate guards more easily, either by killing or knocking them out while they sleep, avoiding unnecessary fights. Continue your exploration in the cave. You will encounter a final guard who appears to ignore you. Decide his fate, then release the prisoners held further inside. Don’t forget to search chests for the register.
