WACKO MARIA and New Era Bring Heavy Embroidery to Their SS26 Collection

Summary

  • The collaborative drop features two distinct silhouettes built on New Era’s signature polyester 6-panel frames
  • WACKO MARIA applies bold Old English typography via heavy raised embroidery across the front panels
  • Both the fitted and adjustable models are rendered in monochromatic black and blue colorways

As a big fan of both brands, I’m really excited about the new WACKO MARIA and New Era collaboration! They’ve dropped some awesome 59FIFTY and 9FORTY caps for Spring/Summer 2026. What I love is that they kept things clean and focused – no unnecessary details. Instead, they went with really striking, precisely embroidered lettering on classic New Era cap styles. It’s a bold look that’s all about the details!

This collection features two different cap styles to suit various preferences, all while looking consistent. The 59FIFTY is a classic, structured fit with a tall crown, made from durable polyester and featuring a flat brim. The 9FORTY, on the other hand, is more adjustable. It has a structured front, an adjustable strap in the back, and a slightly curved brim, making it comfortable to wear right away.

Both hats have a simple, clean design that showcases WACKO MARIA’s classic Old English lettering. This lettering is thickly embroidered right in the middle of the hat, giving it a noticeable, textured, 3D look. The hats come in black and blue, and the bright embroidery—along with the standard New Era logo—really pops against the solid polyester fabric.

The WACKO MARIA x New Era 59FIFTY and 9FORTY collection drops May 2 via the WACKO MARIA webstore.
