The BBC has announced the release date for Crookhaven, the new mystery drama featuring Dougray Scott and Julie Hesmondhalgh. Good news for fans – it’s coming very soon!
This series is adapted from the popular novels by JJ Arcanjo. It’s set at a school led by Caspian Lockett (played by Scott), where students are trained to be skilled thieves – but with the goal of using their abilities to help others.
I’m totally hooked on this story about a group of students who find out they’re meant to do something amazing – join this group called The Crooked Network and defeat this really scary force called The Nameless. It’s not going to be a walk in the park, though – they’re in for a tough fight!

The new series Crookhaven will premiere on BBC One on March 22nd at 3:05 PM, with the second episode airing immediately afterwards at 3:50 PM. All episodes will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
The series boasts a strong cast, including Keith Allen, Claire Forlani, Amari Bacchus, Naomi Wirthner, and Lucas Leach, alongside Scott, known from Vigil, and Hesmondhalgh, who appeared in Coronation Street.

The series centers on Gabriel, a talented pickpocket, and Penelope, the headmaster’s daughter and his main rival. It follows eight diverse young students from around the world as they compete for the prestigious Crooked Cup, according to BBC.
The story is set in a school filled with dishonest teachers and hidden dangers, where appearances are deceiving. It promises to reveal shocking secrets and introduce a truly frightening villain.
Crookhaven is a captivating coming-of-age story filled with unexpected events. It explores themes of self-discovery, learning to trust others, and understanding the difference between right and wrong.

The show is being promoted as a fresh take on high school dramas, offering a suspenseful and thought-provoking mystery that explores themes of who we are, where our loyalties lie, and the families we create along the way.
