Vicky McClure reveals hilarious Line of Duty cast reunion
As a hardcore Line of Duty fan with years of binge-watching under my belt, seeing Vicky McClure, Martin Compston, and Adrian Dunbar reunite like this was nothing short of a dream come true! It’s been too long since we last saw our beloved AC-12 team in action. While I can’t help but suspect that their neon-lit rickshaw ride might be a sneaky promotional stunt for the upcoming season, I’ll take it!
Line of Duty stars Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar had a little reunion this week.
Today, I shared a video of my gaming squad cruising around what seems like central London in one of those glowing rickshaws. We were jamming to a remix – it’s just the kind of thing those light-up rickshaws are known for (in this case, a remix by Tom Santa of ‘Shackles (Praise You)’). After that, we cycled through a few more tunes.
They appeared to find it all extremely amusing since the video showcased the performers struggling to keep a straight face and muddling their lines while speaking into the camera.
Initially, Adrian asked for a touch of Vengaboys music, but instead, ‘I Will Survive’ by Gloria Gaynor played, leading to an impromptu singing event. Meanwhile, Martin spotted some police vans on the side of a street and called out “Yellow alert! Yellow alert!” towards them.
“AC12 oot and aboot,” Martin wrote in the caption.
Regrettably, instead of an exciting announcement for the comeback of the beloved BBC crime drama, it was simply them having dinner together. Perhaps they were arranging their schedules for a fresh set of episodes, though?
Previously this year, Martin confessed that the primary reason for the delay in the show’s comeback was due to the complexity of arranging everyone’s schedules. Last year, he mentioned that both the cast and creator Jed Mercurio expressed a desire for “one more installment,” despite being content with how the last season concluded.
In the upcoming days, starting from November 3rd, you’ll have a chance to watch Anna Maxwell Martin, who plays Carmichael in a new drama titled “Until I Kill You“, on ITV.
Line of Duty can be streamed in full on BBC iPlayer.
