Here’s what you need to stream this November 2024 (and no, it’s not just Dune: Prophecy)

As a dedicated binge-watcher with a penchant for diverse storytelling, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming shows on HBO and Max this November! From the anticipated Dune: Prophecy to the enchanting Like Water For Chocolate, the lineup promises a rich tapestry of narratives that will captivate audiences.

As we approach the end of the year, there are still plenty of shows coming up for your viewing pleasure. If you’re a Max subscriber, you’ve probably been eagerly awaiting the arrival of “Dune: Prophecy,” one of the most highly anticipated series of the year, which is set to premiere in November. But if that’s not your cup of tea, don’t fret – there are more entertaining options lined up for you as well!

To start off, we present “Like Water for Chocolate,” premiering on Nov. 3 with weekly episodes. Over six chapters, this series explores the theme of challenging traditions, which can become oppressive. Starring Irene Azuela, Azul Guaita, Ana Valeria, and more, “Like Water for Chocolate” delves into the importance of breaking free from confining customs.

Enthusiasts of the Dune universe don’t have long to wait – approximately two weeks – until they can watch the HBO original series titled “Dune: Prophecy.” This series will comprise six episodes in total, making it a relatively brief run, and it is set to debut on November 17.

Look forward to new episodes released weekly for “Dune: Prophecy”. This captivating story unfolds 10,000 years prior to Paul Atreides’ ascension, revolving around two Harkonnen sisters as they strive to safeguard the future of mankind. The stellar cast includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, and more.

Feeling up for some engaging content? Documentaries are HBO and Max’s specialty! On November 19th, the original HBO documentary titled “Night Is Not Eternal” is dropping. This documentary chronicles the journey of Rosa Maria Paya, a courageous Cuban activist striving for democratic change in Cuba. As a gamer, I’m always eager to learn about real-life heroes like her!

Although November isn’t just about theatrics, there’s another exciting piece of news! The third season of “The Sex Lives Of College Girls” will premiere on November 21st. Are you prepared for the new episodes? They’ll be aired weekly at 9 p.m. ET (and if you prefer streaming, you can catch them simultaneously on Max at this time as well). Here is a sneak peek of some highlights and more:

  • Like Water For Chocolate, Nov. 3
  • Dune: Prophecy, Nov. 17
  • Call Me Ted, Nov. 13
  • Night is Not Eternal, Nov. 19
  • Surveilled, Nov. 20
  • The Sex Lives of College Girls season 3, Nov. 21
  • Get Millie Black, Nov. 25
