Vice and Mature in KOF XV: Special DLC characters revealed

In KOF XV, the abundance of playable characters can be explained by the fact that the game includes three-versus-three team battles. Consequently, players require a larger roster compared to other titles in the series. SNK’s developers have chosen to amplify this advantage further.

At Evo 2024, it was revealed that two fresh characters will be added to The King of Fighters XV: Vice and Mature. These newcomers are slated to become Special Downloadable Characters for KOF XV towards the end of this year.

When are KOF XV Vice and Mature available?

The initial post introducing these characters announces that Vice and Mature from KOF XV will be unveiled in December 2024.

Vice in The King of Fighters

Despite a lack of details regarding the gameplay of KOF XV’s Vice and Mature, let’s explore their significance within The King of Fighters universe instead.

In The King of Fighters ’96, Vice made her initial appearance. Subsequently, she featured in several major editions, among them being The King of Fighters XIV.

She takes pleasure in violent acts, including taking lives. Vice excels in grapple moves with powerful grab techniques and corner attacks.

Mature in The King of Fighters

In The King of Fighters ’94, this character made her debut. However, it was in The King of Fighters ’96 that Mature could be player-controlled. She has been a part of the roster in The King of Fighters XIV as well.

I’ve noticed an intriguing resemblance between the characters Mature and Vice. For me as a fan, they both seem to crave violence in their own unique ways. The game creators label Mature as a “ruthless woman,” while Vice is referred to as a “cruel woman.” In my perspective, they each bring an intensity and raw power to the table that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

In the fights, Mature emphasizes speedy movements and a variety of quick attacks.

I’m thrilled to be part of the vibrant community surrounding The King of Fighters XV! In the first person, this means that I’m personally involved in the excitement. The official league for this game is actively running, and guess what? The qualifiers for the SNK World Championship 2025 take place at the most prominent fighting tournaments.
