Vanna White Gets First Tattoo at 68—The Surprising Story Behind It
Wheel of Fortune’s Vanna White got her very first tattoo at the age of 68.
On a Monday, it was disclosed that the long-term game show co-host had her tattoo made by her 27-year-old daughter Giovanna ‘Gigi’ Santo Pietro.

Just as she was about to unveil the completed work, she disclosed the motivation behind asking her daughter to be the one to give her her inaugural tattoo.
White clarified that she herself is choosing to do this action, not being forced by anyone else. She has the freedom to view it every day since it was her decision and not someone else’s work.

In addition to Gigi, White also shares son Nikko, 30, with her ex-husband George Santo Pietro.
Not too long ago, White shared her intentions for getting her initial tattoo and expressed that she desired her daughter, a professional tattoo artist, to play a part in this special occasion.
In 2022, she shared with People that her desired tattoo concept involved us both having identical heart symbols, where she would draw a small heart on me and one on herself. This unique design was something she had been contemplating for quite some time before it finally came to fruition.
‘I feel like I need to do that because it’s her and it would be her on me.’
White also praised her daughter for pursuing a career as a tattoo artist during that time.
In a different wording: Gigi explained her reasoning for getting a tattoo by saying, “Mom, since my artwork will be permanently etched onto someone else’s skin.” Upon hearing this, I found it quite intriguing.
