Get ready for Vanillite Community Day in Pokémon GO.
During the upcoming Community Day for Pokémon GO, trainers can look forward to encountering Vanillite. This presents an opportunity for players to potentially catch a Shimmering Vanillite, as well as acquire a Vanilluxe boasting the unique move, Avalanche, which is exclusive to this event.
Vanillite Community Day takes place Saturday, April 27 from 2 p.m until 5 p.m local time.
Participating in Vanillite Community Day within Pokémon GO may elicit diverse responses from trainers. While Vanillite isn’t commonly considered a useful Pokemon, it seems to be a ‘take it or leave it’ kind of Pokemon for many. Despite this, the event offers an attractive incentive with triple Experience Points (XP) up for grabs, making it an excellent opportunity to socialize and enjoy some Pokémon GO gameplay with friends.
Vanillite Pokémon GO Community Day bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Vanillite Community Day in Pokémon GO.

- 3× XP for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours

- Trades cost 50% less Stardust*

At the occasion periods, you’re likely to spot Vanillite more often in its natural habitat. Additionally, your chances of capturing a Shiny Vanillite will be boosted during these times.
During the Pokemon GO Community Day for Vanillite, there’ll be a special move called “Avalanche” that Vanillish can evolve into when they become Vanilluxe. For those who already have Vanilluxe, the only method to learn this Ice-type move is by using an Elite Technical Machine (TM).

During this event, it’s essential to maintain a singular concentration. Catch, catch, and catch as much as possible! With a triple XP bonus in place, you could amass a massive amount of Stardust. Plus, the more Pokémon you come across, the higher your chances of encountering a rare shiny Vanillite. Remember to complete Field Research tasks too, such as winning a five-star Raid and trading a Pokémon. These activities will also increase your odds of finding a special background Vanillite.
For this particular event, there’s no Stardust bonus; instead, it emphasizes Experience Points (XP). To maximize your XP gains, consider having a Pokémon at Mega Level 3. This special Pokémon will increase the candies and XP you earn when catching Vanillite.
