VA, a design studio from Tokyo, has partnered with adidas Originals to reimagine the VA SUPERSTAN shoe. This new version combines elements of two classic adidas designs, updating a once-limited edition shoe with a modern and polished look.
This sneaker blends classic court style with modern streetwear. It takes the iconic ribbed rubber sole and sturdy base from the Superstar, and combines it with the clean, simple look of the Stan Smith. You’ll find the Stan Smith’s signature perforated stripes on the sides, creating a unique combination of two beloved designs.
To improve the shoe’s look, VA used high-quality materials. The shoe is now made entirely of shiny black patent leather for a sleek, premium feel. This luxurious black upper is paired with an off-white sole, intentionally designed to resemble classic 1980s Superstar shoes, creating a stylish mix of modern and retro elements.
