Unlock the Secrets: Steal Savilla’s Stone in Oblivion Remastered!

It’s time now to encounter the Gray Fox in Oblivion Remastered, and the cunning emblem of the Thieves Guild invites you to join in a tricky series of missions. If you’ve successfully completed tasks for Armand Christophe and S’Krivva as part of the Doyen quests, well done! Get ready for the grandest heist yet.

Initially, the Gray Fox will evaluate your skills in stealth and thievery during the Turning a Blind Eye mission in Oblivion Remastered. Although not the most difficult quest, it presents its own set of challenges due to the presence of numerous perilous blind monks who guard valuable relics within their treasured chambers.

How to Start the Turning a Blind Eye Quest in Oblivion Remastered

To begin the Turning a Blind Eye quest, players need to ensure they have finished all prior quests with S’Krivva, culminating in Taking Care of Lex. Following this, one must have traded 600 Gold worth of stolen items at the Thieves Guild Fences. This can be done by selling stolen jewelry, for instance, to Orrin who is located within Anvil’s Castle, specifically in the Smithy district.

After gathering sufficient gold by fencing, make your way to the Waterfront District of the Imperial City and spend 24 hours in-game. During this time, you’ll likely be interrupted and approached by Methredhel. She will instruct you to meet the Gray Fox at Helvius Cecia’s House in Bruma. The Gray Fox can be found on the ground level of this house, and conversing with him initiates the Turning a Blind Eye quest.

How to Get Inside the Ancestor Moth Crypt in Oblivion Remastered

Initially, players should make their way towards the Temple of the Ancestor Moths, situated in the northern part of Cheydinhal. To enter the temple’s interior, interact with Brother Holger first. By employing his persuasion system and raising his approval (Disposition) to 80 or more through gifts or mini-games, players can gain Brother Holger’s assistance. Once you’ve achieved this, ask him about Savilla’s Stone, and he’ll lead you to the catacombs of the blind monks.

How to Get Savilla’s Stone in Oblivion Remastered

After venturing into the hidden chambers of the Moth Monk’s temple, players now face a choice: they can opt for a noisy approach, foregoing any chance at stealth and potentially engaging in combat with katana-wielding monks (without any penalties or Blood Price). Alternatively, they can attempt to move silently. The path through the temple isn’t overly challenging as the monks are often seated or sleeping, but they possess acute hearing, so keep your distance and avoid making loud noises. The main danger comes from wraith enemies, as these spectral foes can only be defeated using enchanted weapons, silver weapons, bare hands, or magical abilities.

Upon exploring the inner depths of the Ancestor Moth Crypt, players will encounter a menacing red crystal at its heart. Approach this crystal with caution as it emits frost blasts when disturbed, moving slowly though they can still cause damage. Players have two options: either stealthily bypass or defeat the Blind Moth Prelate, whose outcome holds no significance. What truly matters is locating Savilla’s Stone, which sits to the right of the red crystal. To securely escape the area with Savilla’s Stone in hand, navigate towards the northeast sector where a cave featuring a ladder awaits. Before reaching the ladder, you will find a chest filled with loot, but more importantly, the Gray Cowl note, which grants players the ability to query lore from the Gray Fox. After exiting, retrace your steps back to Helvius Cecia’s House in Bruma to finish the quest and receive 500 Gold as a reward.
