In the vast expanse known as the Living Lands, you’ll come across one of the hidden treasures named Strangled Adra, sworn ally of Avowed. Interacting with this Strangled Adra rewards you with a substantial amount of experience points and is crucial for unlocking the “Pillars of Eternity” achievement. Although these collectibles are relatively noticeable in the game, it’s still possible to overlook some Strangled Adra as they may be slightly off the beaten path. Nonetheless, venturing away from the main trail to find them is advantageous, as they provide a speedy means of leveling up.

In each of Avowed’s primary zones, there’s a unique item called the Strangled Adra, which doesn’t have any linked side quests, unlike other collectibles such as Starmetal or Sapadal’s Ancient Memories. Essentially, you’ll need to independently discover its location without the game prompting you that it can be interacted with. Fortunately, the Strangled Adra are distinct on the map and are often surrounded by smaller Adra pillars, making them easy to spot during your exploration.

Danwshore’s Strangled Adra Is Near The Gate To Emerald Stair

As a dedicated adventurer, I can’t help but sing praises for Dawnshore’s Strangled Adra – a hidden gem that’s not hard to spot yet challenging to access! Right next to the Emerald Stair Gatehouse, you’ll find it perched on a ledge. You can make your way here by venturing from another region or quickly teleporting to the Beacon if you’ve already discovered it. If this area remains unexplored for you, just follow the eastern path directly from the Militia Barracks all the way to the southeastern tip of the mainland!

Upon arrival, you’ll notice some Adra protruding from a rock structure and a circular stone passageway to its left. Enter the passage and remove the climbing vines ahead using fire. If you’re not controlling a Wizard in Avowed, it would be beneficial to have Kai accompany you, as there are numerous vines to clear, which will help conserve your throwables.

Traverse the debris-filled path, burning off any roots you come across. When you encounter doors that need power to open, just tug on the central lever within the chamber. As long as you’ve removed all the vines in each room, pulling the lever will unleash electric charges that will unlock the gates.

Upon unlocking the last door, there you’ll encounter the Strangled Adra directly. Although it might be tricky to access this one, the remaining ones should be more accessible. However, keep in mind that some of the others will necessitate having a particular companion or item with you to gain entry.

Where To Find Strangled Adra In Emerald Stair

Emerald Stair’s Strangled Adra Is North Of Tama’s Cabin

In the enchanting realm of The Wildwoods, situated to the east of the serene Delemgan Glade, you’ll come across an intriguing landmark known as the Strangled Adra. If Kai has bestowed upon you the quest to visit Tama’s Cabin, this mysterious location is nestled just north of that building, making it easily identifiable with the help of your quest marker.

However, if you prefer a different approach, seek out the Rock Arch Beacon and journey northward. If you’ve already discovered the Beacon but are still on the hunt for the Strangled Adra, simply teleport back to the Beacon and then head north with a slight easterly tilt.

Following a brief stroll north, you’ll come across some compact stone structures called Adra protruding from the ground. These markers guide you towards a ridge near the steep, impassable cliff encircling The Delemgan Glade. Just follow these Adra as they form a gentle incline in front of you, and then start scaling the rocks. You’ll discover the Strangled Adra atop this small rock formation. This particular Strangled Adra is one of the most accessible, thanks to its close proximity to a Beacon and its straightforward path.

Where To Find Strangled Adra In Shatterscarp

Shatterscarp’s Strangled Adra Is East Of The Thirdborn Camp

To locate the Strangled Adra in Shatterscarp, it’s recommended that you journey towards the campsite beyond Thirdborn, then proceed eastward straightaway. Once you begin moving in this direction, you will come across a stone archway barring your path and faint glimmers of Adra off in the distance. Follow the trail of Adra, and you’ll spot the strangled pillar perched on an overhanging ledge. After passing under another stone archway, you’ll encounter a cluster of rocks that will assist you in scaling up to the same level as the Adra.

Go to the other side of the stone archway, where the Strangled Adra lies, which is on your left following the climb-up. You’ll notice some roots there. To get past these roots, you can use Kai’s ability or ignite them, allowing access to the Strangled Adra. As an alternative, you can go around the other side of the stone archway, leap across a gap to reach it. Both methods work, but navigating through the roots might be simpler, and there’s no concern about missing the jump and needing to try again.

Where To Find Strangled Adra In Galawain’s Tusks

Galawain’s Tusks’ Strangled Adra Is East Of The Region’s First Camp

To swiftly get to Strangled Adra in Galawain’s Tusks, first, use the fast-travel option to reach the campsite located just north of the region’s entrance. If you’re new to Galwain’s Tusks, simply move northeast for a short distance to locate this campsite. Then, proceed eastward. As Solace Keep appears to your left in the distance, take a brief stroll, and you should notice a trail of smaller Adra pillars guiding your path ahead.

As a keen adventurer, following the slender Adra pillars will lead you to the petite ledge where the Strangled Adra resides. This path resembles the Emerald Stair’s Strangled Adra, devoid of any cunning puzzles; just traverse straight towards the Strangled Adra using the rocks on its right side, and voila! You’ve arrived. Among Avowed’s Strangled Adra, this one seems to be the most accessible, though finding it initially may require a bit more exploration since it isn’t associated with any quest markers in the game. However, once you have its map coordinates, locating it should be a breeze.
