How To Get The Caught Thief’s Map In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To locate the map, advance through the primary tale until you complete the “Back in the Saddle” mission and acquire the freedom to roam Trosky Castle. On the western part of the castle, close to numerous Dice tables, you’ll encounter Black Bartosch, one of the soldiers stationed near a wooden barrier.

Bartosch is in possession of the Thief’s Map, and there are various methods to acquire it. In case there are no other soldiers around, you can secretly take it from him without his knowledge; the map will be one of the items up for grabs.

If you’d prefer to avoid getting pickpocketed by Bartosch, you can instead propose a game of dice to him. He’ll tell you he has no cash on hand but will bet his Caught Thief’s Map if you beat him. Here, you face two options: spend 250 Groschen to buy the map outright, or wager 50 Groschen, win the game, and secure both your winnings and the Caught Thief’s Map as your prize.

Using the map as your guide, quickly navigate to Nebakov Mill. After that, follow the road moving east and take the path on your left that climbs the hill. Turn right at the intersection and venture into the woods, heading towards the spot marked on your map. Continue moving east through the forest until you reach Thief’s Camp, where a lone adversary is lurking.

You can quietly eliminate your adversary using a dagger if you happen to have one on hand. Not far off, there’s a chest that will only yield when unlocked with some tricky maneuvers, requiring skilled key manipulation.

To rotate the lock, press and hold the L2/LT button on your controller. Then, use the right stick to maneuver the cursor. The lock will only turn when the ball becomes golden, so avoid forcing it if the color doesn’t change to prevent damaging the lockpick.

Due to this being a tough lock, you can employ a “Quickfinger Elixir” to temporarily enhance your “skills in crafting and thievery” by six for approximately forty minutes. After it’s unlocked, open the “storage chest” to find these listed items inside.
