In the game Monster Hunter Wilds, Guardian Secret Feathers are a type of Equipment Material used for crafting armor pieces and charms. Although they’re not overly hard to get hold of, some players, particularly those at High Rank, might find it confusing where to locate their source. This guide aims to clear up that confusion and assist players in gathering Guardian Secret Feathers within Monster Hunter Wilds.

To remember, Secret Feathers of the Guardian can exclusively be found from the map of Low Rank Ruins of Wyveria. On higher levels, or High Rank, the monsters will instead provide you with Guardian Seikret Feathers+. For those players who have advanced to High Rank,

1. Enter the Guild Hall.
2. Speak to the Elder Dragon, Ryuji.
3. Request to return to a lower rank.
4. Confirm your decision when prompted.
5. The game will then automatically take you back to a Low Rank version of the Ruins of Wyveria.

  1. Speak with Alma, Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Quest Counter. She can be found near the Tents at Base Camps, and she follows the Hunter across the game’s maps.
  2. Select Post/Join Quest.
  3. Select the Optional Quests tab.
  4. Initiate a 3-star quest that takes place on the Wyveria map. Quests like “Consumer of the Void,” “Red Eyes in the Night,” and “Spread Those Wings” are all great options.
  5. Accept & Depart to travel to a Low Rank version of the Ruins of Wyveria.

Players can craft Guardian Seikret Feathers from small creatures known as Guardian Seikrets, which inhabit the map of Ruins of Wyveria (Low Rank). For those new to the game, this map becomes accessible at the start of the Monster Hunter Wilds‘ third chapter. Players who have progressed to this stage in the story but haven’t moved on to High Rank can use the World Map for quick travel to the Ruins of Wyveria. If a player is unable to fast travel or has advanced to High Rank, they should follow the steps mentioned earlier to swiftly reach a Low Rank version of the Ruins of Wyveria instead.

Once you get to the Lower Version of Wyveria’s Ruins, players should take a peek at the map and navigate to its lowest layer. Then, focus on Areas 13 and 14 where you’ll notice some Guardian Cocoons. Now, place a marker (waypoint) on one of those Cocoons, jump onto your Seikret, and let your mount’s auto-navigation system guide you straight to the chosen spot.

At the Cocoons in Monster Hunter Wilds, players are advised to choose their favorite weapon for attacking the protective structure. This action will make the Guardian Seikrets hatch, at which point they should be defeated and their remains collected to secure Guardian Seikret Feathers.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that not every time I skin a Guardian Seikret, I get a Guardian Seikret Feather. These little creatures also drop valuable loot such as Tough Guardian Bones and Sharp Fangs, so it seems they don’t always give away their secret feathers so easily.
