In the game Atomfall, there are 36 trophies that players can earn, but one of them, called ‘Quick Escape’, is notably tougher than the rest to achieve. This guide will lead you to the ‘Atomfall‘ ‘Quick Escape’ trophy, showing you the optimal route for speedrunning “Atomfall“, the sequence in which to go through each level, and providing additional tips to help you beat “Atomfall” swiftly and secure this achievement.

This manual includes major plot reveals from the finale of Atomfall, as well as key locations, characters, and narrative elements. Avoid seeking this accomplishment immediately upon starting the game – instead, play through the game thoroughly first, then attempt a speedrun for the ‘Swift Escape’ trophy when you’ve fully immersed yourself in the game’s story.

Atomfall Speedrun Requirements & Checkpoints

To successfully speedrun the game “Atomfall”, you simply need to gather seven essential items: five Atomic Batteries, a Signal Redirector, and Dr. Holder’s infection resistance boost. It is not necessary for you to pick up any Strange Tonics if you have the infection resistance buff; however, this is only beneficial if you move swiftly through contaminated zones.

Absolutely, there are additional objects and locations you should explore to collect all the Atomic Batteries and uncover the Windfall’s Crate housing the Signal Redirector, but in essence, those are the key elements required to complete the game.

Heed this advice – you’ll need to execute many characters and eliminate friendly non-player characters (NPCs) swiftly to gather the necessary items efficiently.

You’ll have to kill a lot of people (enemies and friendly ones too) to get what you need quickly.

The provided list of checkpoints for the game Atomfall speedrun provides an efficient path to collect all seven items in the shortest time, accompanied by estimated times based on our own speedrun. While this guide suggests completing the game within an hour, you will still earn the ‘Quick Escape‘ trophy if you manage to finish it under five hours.

Adhering to the suggested speedrun path allows for ample room to commit errors but still secure the Atomfall speedrun accomplishment.

Complete Quick Escape Trophy Walkthrough

Step-By-Step Guide To Speedrun Atomfall In Under 5 Hours

Kill Molly (Battery 1)

Initially, make your way to the northwest sector of Slatten Dale, following the trail that veers left over the cliffside until you come across Molly’s trading camp. After defeating Molly, search her belongings for a Flashlight, a Club, and an Atomic Battery. Subsequently, proceed towards Wyndham Village.

Kill Vicar (Battery 2)

Obtain the Vicar’s key, ascend the stairs to discover a locked chest. Inside, grab the Atomic Battery. Subsequently, proceed to the Interchange through the Wyndham Village gateway.

Wyndham Village Interchange Entrance

Head towards St. Katherine’s Church, leap over the eastern fence adjacent to the churchyard to discover the entrance to the Wyndham Village Interchange.

Once inside the Interchange, open the door, but don’t proceed into the Central Processor after unlocking it. Instead, make a swift return to Wyndham Village and carry on towards Skethermoor.

Protocol Workshop & Windfall Key

Once you step into Skethermoor, keep hugging the wall on your left (the northern border) until you spot a Protocol bunker. Enter the Protocol Workshop, and then quickly dash to your right, followed by a left, running down the hall until you find a bathroom. Slip past the stall located at the back of the bathroom, climb up through the gap you’ll find there, and finally grab the Windfall Keycard from the body you’ll see.

Exit the current room and search for the B.A.R.D. boxes in the adjoining room. Inside, you’ll discover a firearm, bullets, and numerous health restoratives. Make sure to depart from the workshop before any soldiers manage to hit you with their gunfire.

Downed Robot (Battery 3)

Proceed straight towards the east until you spot a scorched, ruined B.A.R.D. Robot submerged in the water. It’s positioned just northwest of Nora’s Barn. Climb onto the robot to ward off leeches. Grab the Atomic Battery from the robot, and then dash into Nora’s Barn.

Kill Nora (Battery 4)

Hurtle past the two tripwires directly east of the fallen robot straight away, then veer left to enter Nora’s Barn. Eliminate Nora and gather her Atomic Battery as loot. Afterwards, depart and proceed southwest, passing the telephone box, to locate the Protocol Field Bunker. This location is heavily fortified, and approaching the klaxon sirens on the outer boundary will trigger alarms. While within the enclosed area, you’ll be regarded as an intruder.

Windfall’s Crate & Signal Redirector

To stay undetected by soldiers for as long as possible, proceed south beyond the phone booth outside this Procedure camp, then veer right and cautiously leap over the hill that lies to the south of the main entrance. Move stealthily and swiftly to evade alarming any soldiers.

Keep moving west across the field until you reach a barricaded shelter where a lone guard is posted. Go inside the shelter, then dash straight ahead to the end of the corridor. Take a left turn, and a bit further down that hall, you’ll find a door. Open this door to discover Windfall’s Crate, which holds the Signal Redirector. Exit the shelter, and carry on heading west.

Walk to the west until you spot a guarded, enclosed structure. Enter it, then run straight ahead to the end of the passageway. Turn left, open a door further along that hallway to find Windfall’s Crate, which has the Signal Redirector inside. Leave the structure, and keep walking west.

Skethermoor Interchange Entrance

As a gamer, I navigate through the minefield and cross over the ravine west of Protocol Field Bunker. It’s crucial that I keep a low profile to evade the B.A.R.D. Robot patrolling north of Skethermoor prison. This robot carries flamethrowers, so maintaining a safe distance is key, even if it detects my presence.

As a fan, I’d put myself in the shoes of an adventurer: Stride towards Skethermoor Prison via its grand northern gateway, scaling the hillside warily to dodge the relentless fire from soldiers and sentry turrets. Once you breach the outer perimeter, veer left to discover the hidden Skethermoor Interchange Entrance. Be wary of a B.A.R.D. Robot patrolling the area – try your best to slip past it unnoticed, then make a swift dash for the Interchange to bypass the lethal Sentry Gun.

Within the Skethermoor Entrance, you’ll notice two Soldiers in the main foyer. Eliminate them with a headshot to swiftly eliminate them, then proceed by descending the ladders located at the room’s end. Beyond a closed door beneath the lobby, locate the Skethermoor Interchange entrance and open it up.

Central Processor (Battery 5)

Proceed towards the Central Processing Unit, grab the battery located next to the switchboard by the deceased scientist. Slot an Atomic Battery into the power slot on your right side, adjacent to this board. After that, turn around and exit through the Wyndham Village shortcut you had unlocked earlier.

Power Data Store Alpha

Once you’ve activated the central control room for the Interchange, you can unlock all four Data Stores to begin with Data Store Alpha, which is the most challenging to power up due to its high risk level. This area is heavily contaminated with Infection spores and has two explosive Infection plants that you must navigate around on your path to the Atomic Battery slot.

1. Fire guns at the two explosive plants from afar and then leave the room.

2. Apply bandages and use First Aid Kits that you’ve found so far, then re-enter the room quickly to energize Data Store Alpha with an Atomic Battery.

3. Run back outside to avoid prolonged exposure to infection – however, the room will be ventilated once powered, but it takes a few seconds for the damage to cease.

Church Cellar Key in Medical

Once you switch on Data Store Alpha, you’ll gain entry to the Medical sector within the Interchange. Dash towards Medical, be cautious of Thralls, and veer right twice. Veer right once more to discover the Church Cellar Key located beside the deceased scientist, then exit Medical and make your way back to St. Katherine’s Church.

Infection Resistance

Venture into the seldom-used church crypt cellar, and you’ll encounter Dr. Alan Holder. Avoid speaking with him; instead, grab the Infection Resistance manual resting on a table in that very chamber. Subsequently, make your way back to Slatten Dale. By possessing this passive resistance enhancement, you won’t require a Strange Tonic to endure the spore-filled initial room at Windscale Plant.

Slatten Dale Interchange Entrance

Walk into Slatten Dale, which is part of Wyndham Village. Then, face east and traverse the rail yard before climbing the quarry steps. Keep going until you reach the Interchange entrance bunker. Once there, open the Interchange Entrance to uncover the last two Data Stores.

Or more concisely:

Enter Slatten Dale in Wyndham Village, then walk east across the rail yard and up the quarry steps. Continue until you find the Interchange entrance bunker. Open it to discover the final two Data Stores.

Power Data Stores Charlie, Bravo, & Delta

To get to Data Store Charlie and Bravo, take the Interchange via Slatten Dale. Insert an Atomic Battery into each of these Data Stores, then hurry over to the Central Processor room to activate Data Store Delta. After powering all four Data Stores, make your way back to the Central Processor.

Power The Central Processor & Enter The Windscale Plant

After every doorway is opened and all data storage areas are energized, please activate your Signal Redirector on four switches located beneath each entrance to activate the Central Processing Unit. Once activated, wait for the processor to materialize, and a passageway to Oberon will emerge from the locked door to the left of the control panel.

Step into the Windscale Facility and answer the phone for the first time, where a mysterious Voice will instruct you to eliminate Oberon.

Enter Windscale

With the Infection Resistance boost from Dr. Holder’s lab, you should be able to dash past the spore-filled first chamber of the Windscale Plant. Swerve towards the safe side of this room to dodge the carnivorous plant, and then keep moving through the infection-free sector of the Windscale Plant.

1. Option A: The most straightforward path lies to your left, populated only by a few harmless Feral creatures you can easily elude. Reach the end of the Windscale Plant zone to discover the Oberon Dig Site.

2. Option B: On your left side, you’ll find the simplest way forward, with no hostile enemies except for some Feral types that you can simply outrun. Proceed all the way to the end of the Windscale Plant region to stumble upon the Oberon Dig Site.

Destroy Oberon

As a gamer, here’s my take on it: In this game, the only way I can grab the ‘Quick Escape’ trophy is by taking down Oberon. Scattered around this vast room are four emergency detonator tanks. This place is also where you’ll find three B.A.R.D. Robots patrolling. I can choose to avoid or eliminate these robots, and then I need to set off each of the four self-destruct detonators.

Approach the control room at the Oberon Excavation Site and tug on the handle marked “Self-Destruct”. With haste, exit the Oberon Dig Site and dash towards the Windscale Plant entrance, overtaking the Druids and Mother Jago who will soon emerge to obstruct your path.

Back to Slatten Dale Starting Bunker

After annihilating Oberon, I answered the ringing phone to receive my last mission: retrace my steps back to the initial bunker nestled in the southern part of Slatten Dale. Steer clear of the Interchange; instead, opt for the Slatten Dale entrance as your exit point. Evade any Outlaws or Druids en route, as there will be a multitude of adversaries swarming Slatten Dale at this stage. However, if you’re playing on the easiest difficulty, you shouldn’t face much resistance.

At last, make your way into the bunker, dash by the scientist now transformed into a Thrall, and locate the chamber where you initially awoke during the game.

Pick up the ringing phone, and tell the voice on the phone that you are ready to leave.

As soon as the closing cinematic starts, you’ll earn the ‘Quick Escape’ achievement and wrap up a swift Atomfall run!
