Unleash the Power: Discover the Most Overpowered Builds in Tainted Grail!

In the game “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon“, there’s ample opportunity for creative construction, or buildcrafting. With a vast array of over 400 different weapons, spells, armor, and accessories to choose from, this First Person Open World RPG provides an exceptional customization experience unmatched among similar role-playing games. Naturally, players might ponder: Which are the game’s most powerful or overpowered build combinations?

This collection offers characters a range of potent class options they can select fairly early on, enhancing their attack power, resilience, sneakiness, and magical prowess. These classes are exceptionally powerful and, above all, entertaining to use.

1. Archer

Extreme Damage Output And Rapid Shots

  • Pros: Greatest Damage Output and Ranged Combat
  • Cons: Requires Lots Of Arrows

This Archer character is straightforward yet potent, offering players a challenging journey. Interestingly, it boasts the highest damage potential among all builds. At medium and long distances, it’s lethal, while its agility allows it to dodge danger in close combat situations, making it proficient at defeating foes even before they realize the threat. To optimize this build, players should prioritize Dexterity and Perception as they progress, with Strength serving as a secondary attribute. Any bow used with this build will deal significant damage, but for maximum impact, Cascade Deluge or Power Bow are recommended.

As a supporter, I’d suggest that you aim for an optimal setup in your build:

1. Equip the Hatchling Mask, Hunting Jacket (for a 15% reduction in bow stamina cost), Archer Quicken gloves (to speed up draw time by 10%), Hunting Trousers (for a 5% reduction in stamina cost of dash while using a bow), and Leather Boots of Roots (to immobilize opponents hit by an attack for 5 seconds).

2. Enhance your gear with the Archer Ring (for a 15% increase in bow damage), Marksman Treasure (for a 25% boost in ranged critical chance), and Hunter’s Amulet (to enhance weakspot damage by 20%). This combination will create a powerful synergy.

3. As a player, focus on gathering most of the Bows perks, then prioritize maxing out Quickened Strikes and Tools of Trade from the Attack speed section of Dexterity.

4. From Perception, select Extra Lucky, Critical Cascade, and Go For The Eyes for additional benefits. If you have any remaining points, focus on maxing out Movement from the Dexterity section as well.

2. Spell Blade

Powerful Spells At The Cost Of Defense

  • Pros: Highest Damage output of all spellcasters, can switch to melee
  • Cons: Squishy, vulnerable when surrounded

The Spellblade character is a unique blend of Spiritual Power, Physical Stamina, and Agility, forming a versatile playstyle that allows for both spell-casting and short sword combat, inflicting massive damage. This specialized role demands players to seek out enchanted weapons like the Tidepiercer or Sunfire Shortsword, capable of emitting potent magical waves during powerful strikes. Additionally, this build heavily relies on Spell Damage, Critical Hit Chance, and Mana Recovery. To get the most out of this character, focus on enhancing the Spirituality aspects for both combat and general buffs.

In your build, prioritize boosting Movement Speed and Attack Speed (focus on Dexterity) for agility and precision in combat. Some weapons may require a bit of Strength to handle, but magical blades will primarily focus on Dexterity and Spirituality. To start, opt for the Waning Moon Set, followed by two Protection Rings to enhance your armor, and the Horned Warden’s Amulet to amplify Spell Power, magical critical chance, and Maximum mana. For spells, select Merlin’s Wrath and Scorching Pathway; these spells are swift, precise, and potent choices for combat.

3. Battlemage

Avalon’s Wand And Sword Techiques Are Broken

  • Pros: Versatile, uses wands, cubes, and blades
  • Cons: Spells are weaker, and costly

As I delve into the world of this captivating RPG, I find myself drawn to a character type that bears a striking resemblance to the enigmatic Spellblade. Yet, there’s a twist – rather than relying on arcane spells, this archetype harnesses the power of elemental Soul Cubes. These cubes absorb damage from magical blades and, in turn, unleash devastating area-of-effect attacks that obliterate foes with breathtaking efficiency.

To amplify their destructive potential, I recommend focusing on three key attributes: Spirituality for increased control over the Soul Cubes, Strength to wield mighty blades, and Dexterity for swift evasions and precise strikes. Don’t forget to scour the treacherous Lake of Blood Dungeon for the elusive Hexbounce Wand, a defensive artifact that can deflect enemy attacks and trigger potent area-of-effect abilities on command.

Armor sets are also essential in this journey, as they not only protect your character but provide additional bonuses to enhance combat efficiency. With these tips in mind, I’m confident that you’ll craft a formidable Soulblade wielder capable of carving a swathe through the game’s most fearsome foes.

In the early stages of this build, using The Battlemage Set is advisable. Later on, players can switch to Perceval’s Set and weapons found within the Corrupted Temple in Cuanacht (act 2). For abilities, it’s crucial to focus on Wands & Cubes to enhance these items’ capabilities, while also prioritizing One Handed from Strength for access to optimal dual-wielding perks that complement your wand and blade equipment.

By transitioning between one-handed blades like the Reaper’s Shroud, which charges with damage or defeating opponents, this build can gain significant versatility, particularly in challenging encounters. The Swordsman Amulet should be selected for a 25% increase in overall damage output when dual wielding, and the Mana Ring for an increased mana pool. Additional beneficial amulets include the All-Mother’s Protection, which provides extra health and damage reduction when your HP is below 10%.

4. Assassin

Sneak, And One Shot Everything (Except Some Bosses)

  • Pros: Sneaky and can OHKO almost anything
  • Cons: Squishy, loses its main advantage in boss battles

Characterized by exceptional skills in Stealth and Agility, the Assassin can swiftly eliminate any foe from the shadows using either thrown knives or slashing daggers across their throats. The Assassin’s advantage lies in its increased damage for surprise attacks, coupled with silent footsteps, making it possible to approach most opponents in the game and eliminate them with a single precise strike. However, when confronted by multiple enemies or challenging Boss Battles that don’t allow for stealth tactics, the Assassin can face difficulties adapting effectively.

To create a build that deals substantial damage, focus on enhancing Perception and Dexterity. Equip the Assassin’s outfit and the Wolf’s Fang daggers for enhanced stealth damage, which can be amplified up to 3.5 times. Wear the Swordsman’s Ring to boost your overall damage output by 25%. Use the Perilous Orb and Colm’s Finger Necklace to increase your critical chances. In terms of perks, prioritize Daggers, Critical Hit, and Stealth. If you have remaining Skill points, also invest in One-handed and Movement to optimize your combat abilities.

5. Heavy Knight

The Optimal Tank, Survive Anything, Crush Everything

  • Pros: Unstoppable, Near-Immortal
  • Cons: Slow and repetitive gameplay

With a pair of heavy weapons and an abundance of both stamina and health, the Heavy Knight marches through battlefields undeterred by swords, arrows, or spells. Regardless of the attacks enemies hurl at players, this build guarantees victory in a test of endurance. The Heavy Knight is adept at dishing out heavy blows that inflict significant damage and deflecting incoming missiles with their robust armor. To craft this build, focus on Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity. Obtaining the Lancelot set (which demands 15 Strength, 15 Endurance, and 8 Dexterity for optimal use) is an excellent method to fully exploit the Heavy Knight’s potential. The Aerondigh Two-Handed Sword is a valuable asset, as it boosts damage up to 200% based on the wielder’s dwindling health.

To maximize benefits, focus on the Two-Handed and Universal skill branches under Strength first, followed by Stamina and Health from Endurance. If you desire additional toughness, consider unlocking the Red Death ability tree and distributing some points in Combat for extra damage. For additional resilience, players may also invest in Survival.

For jewelry, choose the Ring of Despair (reduces incoming damage by 20% and healing by 75%) and the Oldsteel Ring (boosts Stamina and Health by 3%). In terms of amulets, players can select either the Amber Gris Fragment or the All Mother’s Protection Amulet.

6. Blood Knight

For Those Who Love Vicious And Bloody Combat

  • Pros: Tanky, Versatile
  • Cons: A Little Bit Slow

As a supporter of the Blood Knights, I can tell you that we wield magic, swords, and shields to vanquish our adversaries. Known for its adaptability, we excel at draining life force during melee combat and inflicting bleeding with Blood Magic. To create this build effectively, players should focus on investing in Strength, Endurance, Spirituality, and Dexterity. The Blood Transfusion spell is a necessity, and pairing it with Abartach’s Calling (Corpse Explosion) is highly recommended. For perks, prioritize enhancing the Shield, Health from Endurance, Once Handed from Strength, and most of the Healing perks, excluding Healthy Appetite, which should only be selected once to unlock the remaining perks.

To choose their gear, players might opt for the Dueling Knight Set, featuring the Dueling Shield, along with the Cloak of Retribution (for added life drain) and the Cursed Blood Blade to boost leech per attack even further. In terms of rings, they should go with the Bloodstone Ring (for increased life steal) and an additional ring for extra armor protection. A highly beneficial amulet called ‘Annabelle’ is recommended; it resembles the infamous haunted doll from the movies, granting players health regeneration and perk kills.

7. Berserker

As The Name Implies, It Will Fight To The Death

  • Pros: Fast, Furious, Deadly
  • Cons: Weakness to ranged opponents

The Berserker, a formidable monster with expertise in dual-wielding and regeneration, is unstoppable on the battlefield. To maximize its potential, prioritize the Red Death Combat and Survival perks, ensuring they are fully upgraded. From Endurance, select Stamina and Health perks as well. In addition, choose all One-handed perks, which offer benefits for those who dual-wield weapons.

For equipment, opt for a mixed set that includes Molten Lightning gloves (reducing the stamina cost of dual-wielding by 20%), Harness of the Hollow Sun (causing opponents to bleed when hit), Knight’s Helmet (-20% stamina cost for all abilities), Garb of the Hollow Sun (increasing stamina regeneration per bleeding opponent), and Boots fo the Hollow Sun (increases movement speed based on the number of bleeding enemies nearby).

Choose either the Inferno Blade and Frost Blade, or the Honorary Blade and Ravencrest Executioner as your weapons. The first pair increases damage by a whopping 220% when used simultaneously, with one inflicting burn effects, while the other triggers chill and eventually frost. The second weapon set is more effective against fully healthy enemies, and it excels when opponents’ stamina is depleted, a situation that arises concurrently when executing a dual-wield power attack, making their compatibility ideal.
