For instance, the side quest “Mapping the Living Lands: Dawnshore” is just one of many captivating tasks that fill this title, providing a rich and immersive gaming experience.

As a newcomer in Avowed, one of your early tasks is to embark on a side quest to save a cartographer, or at least his valuable work, and return it to Sanza, his employer. Navigating the Living Lands isn’t familiar territory yet, so tracking down the exact location where this cartographer disappeared can be a bit perplexing, but that’s part of the adventure!

How to start Mapping the Living Lands: Dawnshore

You can start this quest in Clavinger’s Landing or Sanza’s Emporium once you reach Paradis.

Upon arrival, have a chat with Sanza to initiate the mission. He’ll assign you the job of locating Geirmund, a cartographer who has gone missing in Dawnshore.

Geirmund’s location in Avowed

Head towards the eastern region of Dawnshore, more precisely a place known as Usher’s Hand. It is here that we last spotted Geirmund.

The map above outlines the path you should follow to reach this area.

Hint: If you haven’t arrived at Paradis yet, you can still make your way to Geirmund by following the coastline eastward starting from Claviger’s Landing. After passing through the dock area, continue northwards from the Southern Embrace until you reach the God’s Gate Beacon.

Geirmund’s remains are discovered close to the God’s Gate Beacon. If you move about five steps to the left from the fast travel spot, you should find either a dilapidated large stone column or a brown tent. Look for Geirmund’s body, which is situated next to the pillar along with the map.

After locating Geirmund, don’t forget to pick up the map near his person, it’s called Geirmund’s Map. This crucial artifact is essential for accomplishing your mission.
