Twisted Sister almost disbanded when Dee Snider, their iconic frontman, announced his retirement in February. He was so central to the band’s image – the makeup, the hair – that it was difficult to picture Twisted Sister without him, or even remember what the other members looked like!
Twisted Sister continued performing, and in 2026, they brought in Sebastian Bach, the former lead singer of Skid Row, to front the band for a series of shows. Bach, a Canadian musician, has also enjoyed a successful career.
He’s still a strong vocalist, and many would say even better than the original singer, Dee Snider, making him one of the best voices in his style of metal. While he might not quite match Snider’s performance of their biggest hit, he excels at everything else.
Twisted Sister and Sebastian Bach hitting the road for a short run of dates (so far) in 2026
The upcoming Twisted Sister and Sebastian Bach tour, and there are expected to be more shows announced soon, is starting with performances in some unexpected locations – like the Alaska State Fair, for example.
You can catch Twisted Sister in Alaska, Oklahoma, or at shows near Niagara Falls, Canada. Tickets become available through a pre-sale starting Wednesday, April 8th, using the code TWISTED2026. If you miss the pre-sale, tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, April 10th, at 10:00 AM local time. Visit the band’s official website for more details.
Twisted Sister and Sebastian Bach 2026 tour dates:
- Sept. 4 – Palmer, AK @ Borealis Theatre (Alaska State Fair)
- Sept. 12 – Durant, OK @ Choctaw Grand Theatre
- Oct. 8 – Niagara Falls, ON @ OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino
- Oct. 10 – Windsor, ON @ The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor
Twisted Sister has released seven studio albums, starting with their debut in 1982. They took a break after releasing Love is for Suckers in 1987, but came back in 2004 with Still Hungry, followed by a Christmas album, Twisted Christmas, in 2006.
Okay, so Twisted Sister didn’t exactly top the US charts – their biggest hit, “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” peaked at 21 back in ’84. But here’s a weird one: “I Wanna Rock,” also from ’84, actually hit number 5 in Norway! It was the only song of theirs to ever chart there, which is pretty wild to me.
