Turnstile get honored with their own night at a Baltimore Orioles game

Turnstile, the Grammy-winning hardcore band, hails from Baltimore, Maryland – and that’s important to understand. Beyond creating fantastic music that deserves a wider audience, the band members are also big baseball fans.

The band are big fans of the Baltimore Orioles. In 2023, guitarist Pat McCrory threw out the first pitch at an Orioles game, with the rest of the band watching. Of course, only one person can throw the first pitch – it would be strange if multiple people did!

If you’re attending the Baltimore Orioles game on July 10th, you’re in for more than just the first pitch ceremony. As is customary, whenever an Orioles player hits a double or triple, the band will playfully spray fans in the designated sections with water from a hose.

Fans who purchase a special ticket package from the Orioles official website will receive a jersey featuring the team name on the front and the band’s name above the number 26 on the back. The event is called “Blackout Night” to celebrate the band.

If you weren’t able to see Turnstile play at the Baltimore baseball game in July, don’t worry – they’ll be performing at many festivals this spring and summer.

The band has a busy summer planned, kicking off with performances at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 8th, the Kliby Black Party in Salt Lake City on May 15th, and Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee on June 12th. They’ll then head to Japan for the Fuji Rock festival on July 24th. These are just the first of many festival dates they have scheduled.

Turnstile has been recording music since 2015, releasing four albums including their Grammy-winning 2025 release, Never Enough, which took home the Best Rock Album award.
