Traitors winner Rachel Duffy enjoys ‘making memories’ on the Harry Potter studio tour after heartbreaking show technicality meant she couldn’t take her late mother on dream holiday before she died

Rachel Duffy, the winner of Traitors, spent quality time with her family on Wednesday at the Harry Potter studio tour, saying she enjoyed ‘making memories’.

The 43-year-old TV star has been going through a difficult period. Her mother recently passed away, only a few days after the finale of her show, The Traitors, aired.

Rachel was heartbroken that she wasn’t able to fulfill her mother’s dream of going on vacation together before her mother died.

She spent quality time with her husband and two kids, sharing photos on Instagram of their fun day which included enjoying butter beer and posing for pictures in different spots.

She later joined her husband Sean and their two sons, Caden and Brodie, for a selfie.

Rachel shared an update with the caption ‘Making memories,’ and added that she and her sons had been up to no good.

The communications manager from County Down won £47,875 after being named a winner on the reality show ‘The Traitors’ last month.

During the show, the winner, a mother of three, explained that the prize money would help her create special memories with her mother, who is battling Parkinson’s and dementia. Her mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 47, and sadly, her condition has progressed to dementia.

Rachel posted a heartfelt message and a collection of photos on Instagram on Sunday, expressing her gratitude and love for her mother.

We’re so grateful for everything you’ve taught us, especially how to value ourselves. Your kindness has meant the world to us, and we’ve shared so many laughs and fun times with you. Thank you for supporting us as new parents and for always being there to listen and offer comfort when we needed it most.

We’re so grateful for all the valuable advice you’ve shared with us over the years, and for being a true example of integrity.

We’re so grateful for the wonderful life you’ve given us and all the happy memories we’ve shared. Thank you for being the best mum ever. We love you!

As a huge fan of Rachel’s Traitors, I was so touched to see her co-stars supporting her online. Dr. Ellie Buckley especially sent a lovely message, saying she and Rachel’s family are in her thoughts and sending all her love. It really warmed my heart to see such kindness!

Faraaz Noor sent Rachel a message saying he’s sending lots of love to her and her family, and that Rachel’s mom is incredibly proud of her and the wonderful mother she is to her children.

Although the show finished filming several months ago, Rachel and Stephen haven’t received their winnings of £95,750. Sadly, this means Rachel can’t afford the dream holiday she wanted to give to Anne.

Even though the contestants each won £47,000, they don’t get the money right away. Stephen mentioned on Monday that his winnings hadn’t been deposited into his account yet.

During an appearance on the show This Morning, Cat Deeley asked the celebrity how often he’d been checking his bank account since the competition ended.

Stephen chuckled and said it hadn’t arrived yet. He admitted he wasn’t checking for it, preferring to be surprised when it finally did.

While at a dinner party with the final eight contestants on the show, Rachel told everyone about her mother’s life.

Fighting back tears, she started to explain that she wanted to do something special for her mother, who had been sick for a long time.

She received a Parkinson’s diagnosis at just 47, and throughout my adult life, I’ve seen her consistently prioritize others and sacrifice her own goals.

‘And she was diagnosed with dementia recently and all she wants to do is go on a holiday.’

She explained that if she won, she’d love to take her mother and children on vacation and create lasting memories while her mother is still able to enjoy them.

My mum deserves the best life possible. She sacrificed so much for us, and now it’s our turn to care for her and make sure she’s happy.
