Tori Spelling was seen out with a friend on Sunday evening, a few days after her former boyfriend, Patrick Muldoon, passed away.
The 52-year-old reality TV star smiled and appeared cheerful as she left Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood, wearing a see-through dress covered in silver sparkles.
Just a few days before, Spelling publicly remembered and honored Muldoon, an actor she had dated in the 1990s.
The Days of Our Lives star died from a heart attack at the age of 57 on Sunday, April 19.
She and Muldoon dated briefly in the 1990s, not long after his split from Denise Richards. They connected again recently on her podcast, MisSpelling, in October 2025.
When she heard the sad news, she shared old photos of them on Instagram with a long, heartfelt message remembering the Melrose Place actor.
She first admitted to having a crush on him when he was on Days of Our Lives. Later, she fell in love with his personality – she loved that he was kind and had a really unique, quirky sense of humor.
She enthusiastically shared how much Muldoon influenced her life, describing him as a significant presence during her twenties and a key figure in her development during those years.
‘This post took me a couple days,’ Spelling began. ‘I wasn’t ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldn’t be real.’
In a long Instagram post, she fondly remembered Muldoon, describing him as truly special and incredibly kind, with a wonderfully quirky sense of humor.
She remembered meeting Muldoon – it wasn’t actually a blind date, as they were both working on the same TV show at the time, which was a relief.
She shared that he was a significant influence during her twenties, and they became close friends. She added that they still make each other laugh and always look out for one another.
She later realized he was a really supportive friend during her divorce, which followed 18 years of marriage and five children with Dean McDermott in 2023.
She said Muldoon would regularly call to see how she was doing and would send her terrible jokes just to cheer her up.
‘He loved when I rolled my eyes. Now I miss those stupid jokes.
Honestly, my partner and I just really got each other. We shared so much laughter – I’d laugh with him, and even at him sometimes, and he absolutely loved it! He was incredibly gifted, truly a jack-of-all-trades, and poured his heart into everything he did. It was inspiring to watch.
He had a wonderful way of making people happy and brought joy to all who knew him. He was a truly special person, she said.
She said she last saw him last summer, and then enthusiastically spoke about Miriam Rothbart, his girlfriend of many years, and who he considered his soulmate, until he passed away.
