Godrick’s disturbing appearance would be ideal for a dark fantasy horror story. Seeing him attach a dead dragon’s head to his arm during battle would be a truly memorable scene. His wild design alone makes him a character worth including.
9 Rykard
If the film aims for truly frightening and intense horror, Rykard is a perfect fit! This powerful being literally gave up pieces of his own body to feed a giant, never-dying serpent.
Rykard now rules a terrifying arena filled with a lake of fire and struggling figures. The image of a massive snake extracting a blade made of flesh from its own mouth is something you’d expect to see in a high-quality, artistic film.
8 Rennala
A24 films are famous for being dreamlike and visually striking, and that style would be perfect for adapting Rennala’s story. Both parts of her boss fight could look incredible on the big screen.
The first part of the Rennala fight, taking place in a grand library filled with unsettling, crawling scholars, is creepy and disturbing. But the fight truly shines in its second phase, when the arena magically becomes a beautiful, moonlit lake. This transformation is one of the most visually stunning moments in the game.
7 Morgott
Morgott was born with a cursed mark, rejected by the Golden Order, yet he became its most loyal defender. It’s ironic that he fiercely protects the very system that cast him out.
Honestly, I feel so bad for Miquella, Marika’s poor, troubled son. He just stayed behind to protect the Erdtree while all his siblings ran off. And seriously, someone needs to make a movie about Morgott – he’d be an amazing main character! I think he’s so underrated.
6 Godfrey
So, in the Lands Between, Godfrey is basically the original Elden Lord – the very first one to hold that title. He’s also the ancestor of all the Golden Lineage, which is a huge deal in the game’s story. Honestly, understanding who Godfrey is is key to understanding a ton of the lore!
He throws off his limitations and begins to fight with raw power. Seeing this massive warrior rip the ghostly creature Serosh off his back would be a truly unforgettable moment in the film.
5 Maliketh
Maliketh was a devoted servant to Queen Marika, and he was responsible for protecting the Rune of Death. His unwavering loyalty, combined with his dangerous power, would make a fight against him in a movie incredibly intense and exciting.
Okay, so Maliketh’s fight is insane! The way he changes from that creepy priest, Gurranq, into his real form is already going down in gaming history. Seriously, when he drops his robes and you see how fast and nimble he actually is… it completely blew me away. I can only imagine how audiences watching the cutscene will be speechless!
4 Messmer
Messmer is a classic movie villain – tragic, full of self-hatred, and powerfully compelling. Originally sent to conquer the Lands Between by Queen Marika, he led a devastating war, only to be ultimately betrayed by his own mother.
Messmer is now forgotten, left alone in his castle to fade away after years of service. His dramatic style, powerful curses, and complicated sense of right and wrong would make a compelling story on the big screen.
3 Radahn
Radahn, a powerful and compassionate warrior, learned gravity magic so he wouldn’t accidentally crush his small horse with his immense size. Sadly, he later contracted Scarlet Rot from Malenia.
Following this, he became a mindless, flesh-eating zombie, lost in the desolate lands of Caelid. The film should recreate the famous Radahn Festival raid, showcasing its large-scale and chaotic battle.
2 Marika / Radagon
The biggest puzzle in Elden Ring centers around Marika and Radagon. It’s shocking to learn that Queen Marika and her powerful consort, Radagon, are actually two sides of the same person!
The characters’ conflicting nature, incredible strength, and damaged minds are the root cause of the world’s problems. Their unique combination of traits and inner struggles make them ideal central villains for an A24 film.
1 Malenia
Malenia is arguably the most notorious boss FromSoftware has ever created. Because of this, she’s become the defining character of Elden Ring, and the movie should focus on her story accordingly.
From the moment of her birth, Malenia has been afflicted with a terrible curse that slowly consumes her from within. Despite this, she’s a remarkably dedicated and incredibly dangerous fighter. The scene where she blooms the enormous Scarlet Aeonia flower has the potential to be one of the most memorable moments in the film!
