Tobey Maguire reunites with pregnant ex Jennifer Meyer for dinner with son Otis in Beverly Hills

Okay, so I’m hearing Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer, who are divorced, were spotted having dinner together at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills the other night. And get this – Jennifer is pregnant! It’s lovely to see they can still enjoy a meal together and support each other, even though they’re no longer a couple. It really shows a mature co-parenting dynamic, which is always great to see.

The couple – a 50-year-old actor known for Spider-Man and a 48-year-old jewelry designer – took their 16-year-old son, Otis, and a friend out for a nice dinner. (The jewelry designer shouldn’t have eaten sushi.)

The amicable exes’ nine-year marriage ended in 2016, and their divorce was finalized in 2020.

Meyer shared a video on Instagram Stories on Tuesday showing off her growing baby bump. She’s expecting her third child, a daughter, later this year.

According to Us Weekly, actor Tobey Maguire and Ruby Meyer, the 19-year-old daughter of Wild Bunch CEO Ronald Meyer, are both reportedly students at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Geoffrey Ogunlesi, the CEO of The Ogunlesi Group and Matsuhisa’s owner Meyer’s much younger fiancé, was also absent. Ogunlesi seems to get along well with the actor, who has been nominated for awards three times.

As someone who’s seen a lot of families navigate blended dynamics, let me tell you, co-parenting teenagers is never easy. I’ve heard from a former producer’s assistant who’s been through it with Maguire, and she put it perfectly – it takes a huge amount of effort to make it work well. It’s rewarding, of course, but definitely not a walk in the park!

Meyer admitted on The World’s First Podcast in 2022 that making the decision involved a lot of faith – believing things would work out – but that the actual process was incredibly difficult.

We now openly share our feelings and coordinate logistics with our partners. Instead of just discussing practical matters like childcare – ‘Do you have the kids? I’m going away for the weekend’ – we also talk about our emotions, saying things like, ‘I’m having a tough day,’ or ‘What you did really upset me.’

I love my brother more than anything. It’s hard to put into words how much he means to me, but I’d do absolutely anything for him.

The actor was recently seen getting cozy with Mishka Silva in a VIP box at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, while attending Super Bowl LVI on February 8th.

At 20, the influencer is 30 years younger than Maguire and one year older than his daughter Ruby.

During the peak of his energetic years in the 1990s, the Los Angeles native was known for socializing with a close-knit group of friends, playfully called ‘The P Posse.’ This group included Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Connolly, Harmony Korine, Jay Ferguson, Josh Miller, David Blaine, and Ethan Suplee.

Tobey Maguire’s last on-screen role was as Nicolas in the 2023 Apple TV+ series, Extrapolations. More recently, in 2024, he was a producer on the action comedy sequel, Nobody 2.

The Golden Globe-nominated actor is widely known for his work in several popular films, including four Spider-Man movies, as well as roles in The Ice Storm, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Pleasantville, The Cider House Rules, Ride with the Devil, Seabiscuit, The Great Gatsby, and Babylon.

Last October, designer Meyer marked the 20th anniversary of her jewelry brand. The company broadened its offerings in 2022 to include fragrances and beauty products.

The Syracuse University graduate apparently started making jewelry when she was six years old, learning the craft from her grandmother, Edith Meyer.
