Daisy Payne, a presenter on This Morning, revealed she’s expecting her first child on Monday. She shared the news on Instagram with a video showing her baby bump.
The gardener from the ITV daytime show, who is 28 years old, playfully mentioned ‘it’s been a different kind of growth for me this year’ while sharing a photo of her beautiful garden.
Daisy looked radiant in a long white linen dress as she and her partner, Dominic Gatt, announced they’re expecting a baby in August.
She announced she’s expecting a baby in late August, calling it a unique period of growth and sharing her excitement about the pregnancy journey.
Daisy received many congratulatory messages from her This Morning colleagues, including Josie Gibson and Alice Beer.
In 2020, Daisy joined the team at This Morning. This followed a year after she purchased a historic cottage in the Cotswolds and started making ‘Garden to Garnish’ videos on YouTube.
In May 2023, Daisy shared how gardening provided comfort and helped her cope with the loss of both her grandfather, who died from COVID-19, and her grandmother.
She told HELLO! magazine that she was walking her cocker spaniel, Ernie, when her mother called with the news that he had tested positive.
I collapsed to my knees, realizing what we’d feared had finally come true. There was nothing at all we could do to stop it. Overwhelmed by the helplessness and the sheer sadness of it all, I went outside to the garden, hoping to find some peace.
On the day he passed away, a small bird—a robin, which we’d never seen in our garden before—flew in, and I felt like he was there with me.
Everything changed for me in that moment, the garden just… shifted. It wasn’t just pretty anymore, it felt important. You see, gardening isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s how I cope. And I don’t say ‘cope’ lightly – it doesn’t fix things, but it helps me… well, it helps me manage the pain, if that makes sense. It’s a conscious choice, a way to keep going.
It comes after Friends star Lisa Kudrow appeared on This Morning last week.
The beloved comedy actress, 62, revealed the one thing fans ask her that bothers her, and shared how she felt being back on the set of the famous show.
Lisa Kudrow, best known for playing Phoebe Buffay on all ten seasons of Friends, shared that people still request she perform Phoebe’s famous song, ‘Smelly Cat’.
During the ITV show, Alison Hammond, 51, convinced Lisa to sing this song live with her.
Alison wondered if he was tired of performing the song and if fans frequently asked him about it.
Lisa explained that people occasionally ask her to sing, which doesn’t bother her generally, but when it happens in public places like restaurants, she finds it a little annoying.
Lisa also talked about going back to the famous set where the TV show Friends was made.
This happened while she was filming the third season of her HBO sitcom, The Comeback.
That’s where I worked for nine years. The first year was on a different show, and that’s where we finished filming Friends.
‘And then the reunion was shot there. And now the end of The Comeback.’
She added: ‘And my son is there’, noting how son Julian makes an appearance in The Comeback.
Lisa continued, explaining that he was present during the early years of his life, visiting often and eventually performing in it. She admitted it was a bit much to take in.
The actress explained to Dermot and Alison that filming the final scene was incredibly difficult, and she needed to take a break and go for a walk afterward.
She also took a picture of Jimmy Burrows, a well-known TV director who directed many episodes of Friends, and shared it with the rest of the cast.
Lisa remarked: ‘Jennifer wrote back, “Oh, what’s my call time?”‘, laughing.
